you do have the worst home support in England. When did i say we were massive ? And you was the one who said you bet you had higher attendances in the last 50 years which I proved you wrong. The last time we were fighting for the title we both averaged 29k and yes I did include 88. Mate face facts we have won way more and our home support is better. Add to that we have a lot more going against us regarding home support than Leeds do. I will give you the away support but you have fuck all else on villa.
fuck all else on villa?
really?how about FIVE European Finals, first British club to play in all three European Finals,1970 European Cup semi final v Celtic over 136,000 crowd a European record to this day, same year nearly 30 million watched FA Cup Final replay v Chelsea only '66 world cup final has ever had a bigger tv audience,oh and one more thing villa boy it's not how big you think you are that counts it's how you're perceived by others that matter and I would bet ten to a penny if you ask the Mancs,Scousers,North East lot, cockneys clubs which is a bigger game Villa or Leeds United the vast majority would say Leeds,i'll give you small heath thou.
Oh and you need to read up more the Fairs Cup was the fore runner to the UEFA Cup and not a one off game like the Super Cup.

It's a bit cringe when Villa call us Small Heath but it's more strange when a Leeds fan says it.

Fairs Cup is all we have to shout about in the last 50 years so you have my vote.

you've got it all wrong mate. Leeds have a lot of rivals nationwide, infact more than most clubs but that means fuck all. Villa are not really considered a big game apart from when we play local rivals. Go and ask the London clubs and north west clubs who they would rather play, millwall or villa. Most would say millwall because it seems a more exciting game and that's down to their notorious fans. Leeds are the same, you have loud notorious fans so it's more exciting but that has fuck all to do with how big a club is. We are traditionally one of the biggest clubs in England where as you come on the scene mid 60s and floated among the divisions after the 70s. Add it up and you have little over us. Everton are not an attractive game for a lot of clubs but they are a bigger club than both of us.

I'm sure this won't have mattered one bit to you all of course but it's a shame that neither of your goals were at your end.
I presume you all went nuts anyway :bg1: but I always like watching away teams goals, especially a game like Liverpool away, in front of a packed away end going mental.

Edit: Did any Everton fans cheer off your coaches when you went home? When we beat Liverpool in 2001 loads of Everton fans were hanging out of their windows cheering off our coaches.

On holiday at the moment so didn't go sadly mate. From what I heard though the Liverpool fans were very magnaminous in defeat, which is a rarity for prem teams losing to lesser opposition these days.

Nope you're wrong again villa boy you conveniently ignored my first part of my post about our achievements in Europe in fact for ten years we dined at the top table of European football which you or no other fucker on this thread can post oh and I have never thought Everton were bigger than us either.

superb team, one of the true great club teams and a European powerhouse. What you failed to do though was win. You were second best too many times. The fairs cup is not a recognised European trophy. From 65 until present day it's close between us but historically we are easily the bigger club. How far in history do you want to go back to? 1965 because it suits you. You play down villa like we are a middle of the road club, infact those were your words. 5 most successful club in England, 9th best supported club historically, European cup winners, all of those three are more than you have achieved. Leeds are a great club but when your playing down villa as a nothing club then I have to ask the question, well who the fuck are Leeds United then? Everton are I'm afraid, no contest.

Serious question no offence intended. Everyone banging on about winning this and that, but who on here has actually seen their club win a major trophy live in person with their own eyes? Oh and Bristol City fans, no the JPT doesn't count. ;) I'm genuinely interested.
If you include the League cup, then yes I have, if you don't include it ,then no, and not likely to now either. Blew our big chance in 93, thought at the time, we had a genuine chance of joining the really big boys at the top table, only for Francis to dismantle a great side (for us) far too early and destroy that hope within 12 months. Still wonder how things would have panned out if we had kept Atkinson, sure we would have added more trophies to the 1 league cup we won. Whether you class the League cup as a major trophy or not, that day will live with me forever, to see my team lift a cup a Wembley, was something I thought I would only ever dream of, great memories can't believe it was over 25 years ago. Shame both cups have lost most of their appeal nowadays especially the once very special FA Cup.
Ps Thanks for changing the subject, getting really boring now.
Assume you can outdo me with seeing "little old Wigan" win the FA Cup?

ok I'll end it by saying Leeds are bigger than us. Ok, I've said it, argument over. No more will be said from me regarding this long winded pointless argument.

Oh do fuck off!
Always chirping on about being European Cup winners so did Steau Bucharest,Red Star Belgrade etc one season wonders! My point was we had longevity in Europe which gave us the exposure across Europe as a top club more so than Villa winning the league half a dozen times in the 1890s.

Thought that would get your attention....

I think you may have pressed 4, one too many times.

Over 500 sold for QPR at Newcastle (on Sky) tomorrow night. More than I thought we would shift.
