It's a pretty dull away trip tbf although there does seem to be more people interested in going to the likes of your wigan, Bolton, Reading etc than the traditional old style football stadium. I think so anyway.
Wigan seems a pretty popular away day among supporters.

You can't want your team to lose even in the checkatrade trophy.
I can if it's going to affect our chances of survival. Plus it'll be another nail in Johnson's coffin.

How can it affect your survival surely winning is the only way to build confidence. Don't even dare give me that shit the players can't play an extra couple of games. Anyway get your fucking acts together for next Tuesday.

I'm not saying they can't play a couple of extra games but I don't want extra games where you can pick up injuries to key players. Imagine if Tammy got injured tomorrow and was out for the season, we'd be forced to go and spend very big on a striker because he scores the majority of our goals.

That game against Wednesday is the biggest away banker in the history of football.

Of course they infringe on our support but that is no excuse to me as a different sport altogether, football clubs support is all about how good the team is, the price of tickets, how much they spend on players and who the owners are. At the start of the season except for a massive spend (for us) of 7 million the rest were pretty much negative, we know that not to be the case now but nobody thought we would do well including 90% of the people on this forum so the 25% reduction was hardly going to have people queueing round the block. Our owner since Bates came in have all about ripping the fans off they are more interested in income rather than bums on seats the reason why we piss everyone on here gate receipts per season, im sure newcastle and villa will get more than ours this time round but not by much.
No they don't, your talking bollocks, if you want to support your own town football club in Leeds you support Leeds Utd, if you want to support your own town rugby club you support Leeds Rhinos, if you want to support both you can do, you don't have to choose 1 or the other. In Sheffield or Bristol or Birmingham or many other large cities if you want to support your own cities football team, you have 2 (or more) to choose from, this infringes on the support all the football teams in these cities get. Plus in Bristol, Newcastle and Leicester they have quite successful rugly union teams, in Sheffield we have rugby, ice hockey, speedway, basketball teams in the same city but they don't infringe on the football teams support. The ONLY place in the whole of the country ( probably the world) where people claim it affects the football attendance is Leeds. Sorry but that's bollocks.

Rugby League runs Feb to Oct so it's a moot point IMHO. Yawnion runs Sept to April which is more prevalent with you southern poofs.

Anyway as a city we have circa 600K population, two teams, a success Ice Hockey team, decent basketball, a RL team and circa 14 other Football teams inside an hour drive.

1 league cup between us since 1935 yet tug in 47K in the 2ND and 3RD tier. The only true football city.....

Thing I will add is I'm not digging at Leeds lads on here, magic kevm and DC, honest as fuck...smiley does get a bit wound up mind.

Like and old jjh....

Serious point Jordan, how the fuck can any city fan justify paying into their biggest rivals ground for a semi derby and miss their own team play, don't get it.

Only time I've ever been to BL (excluding Sheff Boys games) without Wednesday was circa late 96, went with my best mate as I had two free tickets from my uncle and Shez had just joined Bolton....in new John St as Nathan Blake scored winner for Wanderers

Two situations:

£150 to watch us get smashed at Burnley on the train with one mate who was up for it (everyone else I asked said fuck that, understandably) or...

£30-40 for a day in Bristol, have some drinks with a few mates, go in the Swindon end and hopefully laugh at Rovers when they lose.

Ticket is costing £14, it's really not going to make a major difference to their finances.

Yeah it is but Swindon have sold out so they'd have got the money anyway, just not from me, that's how I look at it.

Yeah that's a cracking effort for a weeknight, thought you'd struggle for 1k. Leeds only had 2k down here this season on a Tuesday so even more impressive when you hold it against that.

You coming down?

Sheffield is a proper footballing city along with a handful of other places. Without wanking you lot off I've always liked both Wednesday and united in the same way I like Everton. Proper football clubs with proper fans. Anyway it's getting a bit too emotional now so I will leave it at that.

Nice ramble mate, to say it doesn't affect us is just your pathetic obsession of all things Leeds Utd, plenty of people support both (I hate them) up until last season they were arguably the best RL team around if you had the choice of a team who were possibly the best in Britain for £20 or a shit team that hasn't finished in the top half of the championship for god knows how long for £37 who would you choose, they are shit now so no excuse but to say it doesn't make a difference is fucking ludicrous.

you do have the worst home support in England. When did i say we were massive ? And you was the one who said you bet you had higher attendances in the last 50 years which I proved you wrong. The last time we were fighting for the title we both averaged 29k and yes I did include 88. Mate face facts we have won way more and our home support is better. Add to that we have a lot more going against us regarding home support than Leeds do. I will give you the away support but you have fuck all else on villa.
As I said before 1964 yes totally, since then we are bigger

Still talking bollocks, if you follow football in Leeds you (should) support Leeds Utd end of, whether you have a successful rugby team or not makes no difference to the amount of people who want to go and watch Leeds Utd. As for my obsession with Leeds, don't flatter yourself, I think some of your fans act like scum, so Im not keen on Leeds I agree, but it is nowhere near the hate I have for Blades, they are only other teams whose results I look out for, except for teams around us in the league, of which Leeds happen to be 1 this season. Think we will have to agree to disagree on this 1.

funny post, have a like. Seriously though mate Leeds are a big club but I can't see how you can justify that comment. Either way it's all about opinions.

8248 wolves at Liverpool today. I know even non league teams take huge followings in the cup but fair play to the dog heads. Can't help but like wolves.

we averaged higher crowds more times than you have so that ones flawed. So your counting runners up too? Fuck me mate your being desperate now. Yeah you averaged 36k when you went down because your fall from grace was a lot quicker. If you had 5 relegation battles on the bounce like we did then no way would you of averaged that. The moment you dropped into the championship you lost 8k fans where as we have not lost any as our average is the same as we went down. As for honours it's...
Leeds
3 league titles
1 fa cup
1 league cup
Villa
1 league title
1 European cup
5 league cups

You can forget about adding the fairs cup because it's not even recognised as a European trophy, yet again it's desperate. It's like us saying the super cup win is a major trophy. You have a bigger fanbase but you must have the most fair weather fans going. From 65 until now it's pretty even but pre 65 we absolutely dwarfed you. we don't embarrass ourselves by pretending we won the European cup because we actually won it.
