Sheffield United, the working class club of Sheffield, right?

Nah 2 proper working class football clubs. Imo the 2 best supported clubs in england. 1 league cup between us in 80 odd years you've all had success we've had fuck all. 45k a week for a 2nd division and 3rd division club and 4.5k away average between us. The city that made football

I see you both as working class clubs tbf i was just pissing about. I like both Sheffield clubs and their fans. I remember when you beat us in the fa cup the other year and you had over 5k at the theatre of doom. I was in the north lower with your lot above us and to our left in the Doug Ellis stand, great fans and loud as fuck. Nowt was thrown down all game on us and as I was walking out just before the 90 your fans were leaning over the railings to shake our hands. Thought that was classy tbf.

They wouldn't have been shaking your hands if they had been losing mate., more likely throwing cups full of piss down on you.Believe me I have had to sit below em. All fans can be good when winning, remember ours giving Dion Dublin a tremendous send off in his last ever match, we happened to be winning at the time, do I think he would have got the same reception if we had have been losing? Do I Fuck! Said it before good and bad in all fan bases, easier to see the good when winning. Best moments I remember from ours was the reception given to terminally ill (Blade)Mel Rees at Wembley and best (or most surprising)from other clubs was the terrific minutes silence held for some of our fans who had died in a car crash going to the Coventry match, other club involved in that minutes silence? Sheff Utd. Shows most do know when to show respect, but most still have a moronic minority.

obviously you're going to see the bad side of their fans as its your main rivals. I'm probably being a bit naive but instead of giving it the big un like most fans do they were good winners and showed some class. One of the reasons why I moved from the north back to the holte is because most people in the north lower pay more attention to the away fans than they do the actual game and I couldn't be arsed with it. The holte end is a fucking depressing place again though.

To be fair, I had a similar experience when we beat them at Brammall lane a while ago. Their fans were great regardless of us beating them. :dk:

DC is a decent sort mate.
maybe so but the Leeds lot on here seem uncomfortable with a bit of competition. As I've stated many times I don't class villa on par with Leeds but I'm still talking shit. Either way fuck em .

Anyway walkley obviously Newcastle are going to top the away averages, but how does it compare to Leeds first season in the championship? Not sure how well Leeds did in their first season down here and as we can see Newcastle are going up automatically. You're normally the man with the info.

I thought you meant 10/11 when we came back after 3 years in league 1, not sure they did away figures in 2004

This has to be a joke. Wednesdayarent even close either but Blades? I'll give you some lenience due to your age, but come on. You were getting 14k in this division under Heath and some pretty poor crowds over time when you were relegated from the old third division.

I know you like to suck up to the Wednesday lads on here but your bombastic claims fool no-one.

You're not even in the top 20 and Wednesday would struggle for top 15.

Just finding that out about Villa fans are you ? Media's still trying to portray them as what they're NOT. (the OPPOSITE of their attitude to Newcastle. Even now the media are trying to sow discord - they're furious Newcastle are where they are saying "Benitez to replace Wenger". As if Arsenal would replace Wenger with someone same age, rejected by Chelsea and Liverpool)
Odd many Newcastle fans came back from Leeds saying everyone got on well with Leeds fans. Fellow travellers and all that. Good wishes even exchanged.
Opposite of Villa fans attitude. Still think its 2009.....

We're the best supported club to have never played in Europe in Europe. Every club who has better support than us have been far more successful over a lifetime. I doubt anyone has ever seen us win a trophy as it was 92 years ago and the last time we even got to a final was 1935.

Did we not win the cup in 1935?
