When we went there in the cup on a Friday night a few seasons ago, I thought the atmosphere was really good. Only 15k were there, but it was like being surrounded by a big wall of noise. Shite being locked in for 40 minutes though.

I've actually been in a Millwall away end when they played walsall in the semi final of the paints trophy I think it was. Me and my two mates(villa and Leeds fan) got tickets next to the away end and we ended up getting kicked out of the side stand into the already packed Millwall end because they thought we were Millwall fans as we were cheering for them. All I can say is that it was an experience I will never forget. We were only young and we were surrounded by the infamous Millwall fans that our elders had told us stories about and which we had only read about in books. Most of them were hard looking bastards and the whole away end was just full of nutters. They were on the pitch when they scored, then again at the end when they won. To this day it's one of the best away ends I've been in, if not the best.

Excellent story!

I went to Millwall v West Ham a few years ago with a Millwall supporting mate. Drank in Bermondsey and it was a top day; proper fans and very welcoming if you aren't West Ham or Chelsea.

Yeah I drank with a few of them in London Bridge and they were sound enough, but rough fuckers. The group who I was going with all dropped out, so I went down on my own and met a few villa once I was down there.

Our twitter feed saying 3200 at QPR, but that won't be official. I think it's usually slightly less than that.

They have only been allocated 2100 at our place and they are not happy.

Seen loads of typical - 'had half that when they were shit last season' comments. Its like people dont understand the logic behind either justifying the cost of footy (especially away days) is easier when you arent completely dreadful.

I'll be honest and say I've never thought much of your away support anyway. Wolves like a lot of clubs only have good away support when they are doing well. Some clubs like Leeds and Wednesday are a lot more committed on the road. Some of your followings in the prem were really bad considering it was all new and exciting for you. Wolves do seem to lose a lot of fans once the going gets tough.

So they're the same as fans of nearly all the "bigger clubs" in this division.

Boro, Wolves, Derby, Forest, Birmingham, Blades, etc all can have huge away numbers when doing well and are average when not doing so well. It's just normal really.

The only clubs who regularly buck this trend and still get good numbers when not doing so well are Leeds and to a lesser extent us.

I would expect you to carry on with good numbers regardless of your league position and also maybe Sunderland ( both yet to be seen)
Birmingham have also bucked the trend this season, but I don't think they normally do when not doing so well. (Still great numbers so far this season).

Before I get jumped on by Blades fans, Yes I would much rather have a good team than good away support even whilst underperforming.

Basically, yes. They have just never been a club that has impressed me much with their away support. Big club with a big fanbase I'll give them that. Sunderlands away support, although not that great in numbers anymore has diminished even more this season, so you can forget them. I know they have been very good in the past, but it would take Leeds some years of struggling to start taking the numbers Sunderland are taking at the moment if ever at all, and it's their first season down here for a few years. You have better away support than Sunderland. We will be pretty consistent.

Conflicting numbers for us at Fulham.

The police twitter feed said 3,404. The club said 2,700 advance sales.

I'd be inclined to say 2,700 plus some pay on the day. Didn't look like 3,400 from where I was stood.

Fair numbers for a TV game on a Saturday night, though there was a lot of boozy lads there enjoying a big day out in London.

Our third “final allocation” of 4074 for Fulham in a few weeks have sold out. I do actually think that’ll be the final figure.

I do like it as a day out, but the recent trend of shutting every pub within about a 3 mile radius [after the game I should say] takes the shine off it for me, by the time you’ve finally got on the tube I always think, might as well just go all the way home now. Probably exactly what the police intend.

Definitely sub 3K judging by the pics.

I was at the end closest to yours and heard fuck all. That stand has the best acoustics in the ground too and carries so you were definitely mute. Very quiet outside the ground as well which is rare

The atmosphere was alright, second half particularly. Shame we didn't score.

Yeah there was no trouble at all, then again why would there be between us and you.

The atmosphere was liked the game, flat as fuck.

There's been bollocks before, at your place and ours and you get the odd gobby twat outside the Lep end most games.

I expect Cardiff might bring a few more than the 184 they brought to Oakwell last season. Shit from the football league making this fixture a Tuesday night for them again mind.
