Our next 2 away games sold out fairly swiftly which is somewhat of a rarity this season
2,251 at Sheffield United on Boxing Day
2,000 at Nottingham Forest on the 30th
Both sold out just before general sale. Both went to general sale didn't they

You sold 4.5k for a 3rd round league cup game at ours once. I know you've not got it this year but you've always sold both tiers at bramall lane, I doubt you will of done if given this time.

They can only sell what you give em.
They will bring more down here than you would take up there if your roles were reversed.
Last update was a few week back, I'm not doing it again until after the new years day fixtures. What are the averages up to now?
Or not, they didn't sell what they were given for a lot of fixtures already, including at ours.9

20,107 (1,136 QPR)I have been trying to get the QPR and Birmingham numbers but cannot find it. God knows how you get yours.

But still a lot more than most clubs (certainly United) if they had just been relegated and were in another relegation battle.
It was also a midweek at ours, would have been more for a Saturday.
Yeah I doubt we would have sold both tiers if given them this season, even with the new manager/actually won a couple of games effect. That said I missed out on tickets for the game on Boxing Day waiting for the loyalty points to go down to 0 for one of my mates but hey ho, a trip to Nottingham instead.
Our away support certainly hasn't been like past seasons, I can think of only 2 games we've sold out and one of those was against Boro, the other being Burton which is a new ground.
Edit: We sold out Brentford too
I was actually praising their support yet you've found a way to have a dig at ours.
Stop being so touchy, I'm not knocking your support, I'm just defending theirs.
As I said not many (possibly 2) would better their support given their current situation.
That Cardiff following was midweek wasn't it though? Either that or the early KO game when Hernandez scored there, only time I can remember a sub 1k.Even Leeds took followings of 900 to Cardiff 1200 to Leicester 1400 to Brum at their worst. I rate Sunderland away support as one of the best in the country. This season is a bad one off
In the championship? Not sure they would be having the away support you regularly have if they had been down and suffered as much as you have. It's understandable why their numbers are down, plus they have to travel further than most. In the prem they mainly took the smaller allocation, but we did a fair few times too.Stop being so touchy, I'm not knocking your support, I'm just defending theirs.
