YeahGentry Day?
1426 Wednesday

1894 Fulham
Yeah, Southey said you had sold 1800. Definitely the lucky onesAround 400 Wednesday not making it to Bristol having purchased tickets, majority travelling by train but only getting as far as Birmingham.
These were the lucky one's.
Limping over the line to selling out Burton Saturday, wank effort again I'm afraid. 100 tickets left now on general sale.
No, because we've had some good followings and some bad followings. Sky and most midweek games have been shit, but then we've had some good ones: 2k to Fulham midweek, sell out at Villa for late KO NYD a month before the game, 1.5k at Sunderland etc etc. When they become wank efforts again and again does that not just make it normal and not wank? You may be expecting higher followings than you get. 1700 for bristol city to Burton is pretty good really.

Maybe I expected the crowds to rise for the run-in, maybe they will but the demand hasn't been there for this one.
Having said that, we'd never played at Burton last season and we only sold it out a day before the game. Equally wank, but it doesn't seem to be an appealing away day for us for whatever reason.
We don't travel too badly to the midlands generally and it's only our second trip there ever, top six with 12 games left, it's not good. Not sure how a following 500 above you're average a fair distance away is classed as wank it's like us taking 2700 to Luton and saying it's wank. It's good for bristol city.

That's not a fair comparison either. 2,700 to Luton would be very impressive for you, but circa 2,200 isn't what you usually average. Your numbers are up because of how the last two seasons have gone for you. Our average numbers have been at circa 1,300 for the last 4 seasons.
Last time we finished top six in this league we averaged 1,800, but there weren't as many games fucked about with for tele otherwise we'd be at a similar number come the end of this season I expect.
2k is around average for us. Look at the last 10 years averages and it will be around 2k overall. This season will finish around 2k which is pretty normal for us. A 900 one year a 1300 1 year all the others will range from 1600-2500 in the last 15 years I know of give or take.
Really? I'm not saying that's wrong but it's more than I would have thought.
I'd have guessed around 1,8k as an average for you, with around 2.1k as an average for us.
I know both have been better recently but would have guessed at those figures as a general guide, maybe both clubs have consistently better numbers than I thought.

in 2006/07 we had 7,659 at Oakwell, the Plod have taken 3k off fans in a decade...
About what I thought then
Christ they are more fickle than I thought 1,400 different in a year (I know 1 was relegation and the other nearly a promotion but even so, that's some difference).
That's SYP for you, taken a similar off away numbers at ours too.
807 you has at ours that season. Surprised to see Wednesday barely scraped 1k here the same season also.Tbf other than yourselves and Leeds but they are a genuinely big club. There won't be one other club any different to us , e.g. forest, derby , wolves etc. That 900 year was a proper shocker, think I did the lot that year other than being in Aus for the ashes, bristol city 500ish, day i flew , barnsley away 2k and Burnley rings a bell on nyd. Fuck knows how I remember this shit

I'm surprised at that unless it was a was midweek.
Edit It can't have been the same season United were in Championship we were in League one, in the season Blademan is talking about.
09/10 for both according to our website.
