It's a great decision and anyone suggesting otherwise is a clown.

To be honest, I think anyone willing to travel from Preston to Norwich on a Wednesday night will do so regardless of it being televised.

But it will impact crowds overall, it's getting to the point where every game will be available to stream in a couple of years. Which would be a travesty.

That is how it is in Italy isn't it?

Not sure but Serie B attendances are crap.

Bari averaged the highest last season with 15k.

We can’t have it both ways as fans though. I assume our clubs will all be getting more money from this which we can obviously use on our squads. So we can’t then turn around and moan about it afterwards.

Over 800 sold for Wednesday night. No pay on the night so the final figure won’t be much more. Probably around 900.

I don't go to many away games, but when I do I don't care if it is on TV or not. If I am going, I got for more than just the football so it doesn't affect me. Just means less fair weather fans going.

I used to go to nearly every away game. Now I have a lot less money, I select my away matches, if it's on Tv 90% of the time I would now watch it on Tv, only a select few big matches I would choose to attend if on Tv.
It won't affect some people at all, but others it will definetly have a bearing on, meaning reduced away numbers for most clubs.
Edit it may even affect some home numbers.

It's a non argument. Watching on TV is nothing like going on a away day. The shit view of the football is a very small part of the away day experience.

We've sold over 250 for Norwich on Wednesday which I actually think is a pretty good effort.

My first away this season will be Blackburn, which is on sky. Ticked Ipswich off last season, and ended up having to work Saturday anyway. The late KO and being on sky will no doubt knock a few hundred off the away following. I heard years ago, that they were on about having a sky season ticket for your team. Pay a fee, and you watch every game on the box. This was years ago mind.

It weren't that funny.
You're a paranoid sap, sit down. Sky did do season tickets and yes the idea of yernited fans from Hampshire having a sky season ticket is a pisser.

Must be the drugs. Gate revenue is fuck all for the top clubs. It's all about sky.

Usually take about 400 for arse-end of nowhere midweek trips don't we? suppose there are another three days of sales.

Leeds cup tickets have been announced, £10 for members, £15 for non-members.

They were our first two away games, grim, although we have a standard trip to Derby on Saturday.

Aye around that but Norwich is the worst of the lot, coaches are leaving at 12:30, a full 7hours 15 mins before kick off

Given it's free to watch at home as well I was expecting this to be one of our lowest ever so I'm pleasantly surprised.

Wow you're tiny
Yeah and still a far bigger club than Swansea will ever be.

Nah we're bigger now. Major silverware in the cabinet, european pedigree, academy & training infrastructure, worldwide fan base, attendances. Easily bigger than Tom Finney's Preston.

If Preston went up I don't think they'd fill it every week unless they gave everyone the full 5.7k , only 10k home fans their the other day wasn't there? Would have to pretty much double the home support. However give it a few seasons and the huge club from south Wales will be back down to those very figures.

Pretty decent that. Our website miles out on QPR sales - fucked like everything else at this club. 850 sold.

£38 to pay on the night too, don't think many will be taking that option up. Brum have sold 724 for Bolton so only Leeds will be taking 4 figures out of 10 clubs, sky's red button has an instant effect then.
