We had the better talent going forward, that's what won us that game.

Don’t agree with you at all but there we are. I wouldn’t take Joao at City, think he’s a bit of a headless chicken.

He's not a headless chicken but he isn't physically strong enough to the role he is being asked to do, he has 5 goals this season so far.

We are still missing Hooper/Winnall etc so those are options we should get soon so can't complain at being sixth.

City look a side in transition too, you seemed to be lacking that something you had last season, more long ball than tika taka it seems from the outside.

Yeah I’m not knocking Wednesday I just don’t think quality up front won you the game, the first goal was a total miscommunication and then we always switch off after conceding, we’ve done it in pretty much every game we’ve conceded in this season.

They’re decent options to have and hopefully Lee will come back as well. Still don’t get why you persist with Fletcher when you have players like Forestieri on the bench, must be trying to justify what you’re paying him but I reckon he’s no good anymore.

And yeah you could say that, we definitely miss Reid and we miss Flint, I’m not a fan of Webster particularly. Pack has been rubbish since Korey Smith got injured as well, we miss him a hell of a lot.

Joao is our best forward player, some of the things he can do I'm left mesmerized, today he was shite but still scored twice. Fletcher is still a good player and fits well into the system Luhukay is using, Forestieri is more an inside forward and at times doesn't really fit into the system away from home.

When Joao was at Rovers the other year he was brilliant on the ball, he just couldn't finish. 5 goals so far seems to suggest that's no longer a problem, in which case I fear him when we play Wednesday, very good player.

These were the stats after 22 minutes, you couldn’t get near us for the first half hour but we didn’t take our chances and were sloppy at the back for the first goal particularly and were punished.

We start most games like that, we send teams into a sense that they're going to have an easy day then we suddenly step up a gear, if they were still playing now I don't think Bristol would have scored..... unless helped by that awful ref who was like a 12th man for you.

The only thing bad about the ref from an owl point of view was that he didn't give a few fouls against us when he should have. But believe it or not, each and every one of the fouls he gave against Wednesday were spot on. Should of dished out more yellows imo

Only allocated 2,100 for Reading next month, think that’ll go to season ticket holders much like Swansea and Brentford.

Same for every club at Reading now mate.
Yeah I remember you selling it and only getting that, shame as they don’t sell the home end out or even close to it but it’s considerably more than our average so can’t really moan.

Cos they moved 45 Reading Ultras* into the stand would you believe

*Harry, George and Tarquin are season ticket holders though.

We're trying to play a style of possession football. Most teams in this league have realized this and put pressure on us and as soon as that happens we just lump it forward/give the ball away.

I'm honestly not sure if we're a side in transition or we just can't play the way we seem to want to. Time will tell.

Heads down at Reading then, might drink in Newbury and get a late taxi to the ground to avoid ‘em.

If the ref hadn't given you that penalty you wouldn't have scored, do you understand English in that part of the world? He gave you an extra 7 mins to score and you hardly threatened.
He could have given you an extra 7 hours with same outcome. :gr:

He gave us a perfectly legitimate penalty, so it took us 80 minutes to put one past you, proper dense mate.

And if your player hadn't fouled ours in the box we wouldn't have got the penalty? Not sure what your point is, but your making out wednesday are some kind of world beaters which you really aren't. We were shit Saturday, you weren't much better.

Both teams will finish mid table imo

I don't think it were a penalty, my view was that both players ran into one another, could easily have given us a free kick.
Ref showed how bias he was when a bristol player was down with an head injury, he didn't stop game whilst you had ball, soon as we won it and started breaking he stops play.

Anyway subject over, we won.

I tell you what didn't get mentioned, when Maenpaa pulled up after heading the ball out, Reach could have played it and we had an empty net to aim at but he waited rather than take the piss.

Referee probably would’ve pulled it up given he was giving us everything else all afternoon. Shame if Maenpaa is out for a while as he’s looked okay. Baker got injured as well as per fucking usual, so fed up of him atm especially given the huge wages he’s on.

It was obviously a penalty, and yes I know the referee gave us everything I never denied that.

Couldn’t care less about the result, hope you enjoyed it Brad.
