not wumming pal, but fact, Teams with a footballing history in the last 60 years and should be premier league are Leeds, Villa, Derby, Forest, Blackburn. These are the teams who have been Champions of England, or even Europe. My opinion, but these are the teams in this division, with a good football pedigree. No doubt you think Sheffield teams and Bristol should be included, but you have no recent history, both Sheffield clubs are well supported I will give them that, but Bristol support has always been average at best, so Bristol is a nothing place as far as football is concern.

My opinion again, but Derby do the bounce the best by a country mile, seeing fat Tango bounce for Wednesday at least gives us all a laugh.

No one should be premier league, it’s earned imo. We are where we are for a reason. Not got any opinion on Bristol as a footballing city, but Sheffield is as much a footballing city as anywhere in the uk. If I could pick my premier league, both Sheffield clubs would be in it.

Agree with it being earned, but you would pick your premier league on support, not History then, because if it was History Sheffield clubs would not get in, and if it was support Blackburn would not get in. All opinions, of course, and that's the beauty of football, we all have different ones.

Wednesday have a decent history tbf. They were the biggest club in yorkshire up until the 1970s.

1 league cup in 85 years suggests otherwise.

Fortunately both Sheffield clubs history started longer than 85 years ago.
Wednesday 4 league titles, 3 FA Cup wins, 1 League Cup
United 1 league title, 4 FA Cup wins, both decent Histories.
Just both have had little or no success in "recent history"
BTW 1 of those FA Cup wins for us also falls within 85 years, just.

Derby's history in the past 85 years is 2 champions of England, and 1 fa cup, think if we did the top 20 teams in England on success, or even on support (Home) , we would be in all peoples top 20. Sheffield clubs No on recent success ,Wednesday on support yes, and Sheffield United on support Maybe.

You could send a glass eye to sleep. If you want to bore us all with history lessons make a thread for it, don’t pollute this one.

On a positive note to Bristol City , at least you should stay up this season, you are nothing more than a average championship team at best.

To be fair, if Derby were as far from the rest in terms of distance, their average wouldn’t be much different to Bristol City’s.
The Championship has been a very northern league lately

In west London we have a weird situation where none of us are really seen as their main rivals.

We hate Chelsea. Don't have any ill feelings towards Brentford or Fulham.
Brentford hate us but are okay with Fulham and Chelsea.
Fulham hate us and Chelsea, but sing about QPR so I think they would hate us more.
Chelsea don't give a stuff about any of us. Historically, us and Chelsea use to have a big rivalry but that has obviously changed in the last however many years, as they got good and we got shit.

I am sure there is a Brentford fan on here who would tell me if that is right or wrong?

I still class Chelsea as our main rivals. Younger fans though, seem to be classing Brentford as their main rivals. I am 29 but the younger generation seem torn between Brentford and Fulham and not bothered about Chelsea.

But the large proportion of the fan base will tell you our main rivals are Chelsea and the older generation will tell stories about the rivalries of yesteryear. You only have to be at Loftus Road when we play each other and you will feel the hostility towards them.

Yeah you lot and Chelsea is a weird one, Spurs and West Ham are closer rivals to Chelsea.

Our fans are split depending on who you talk to, older generations hate you because of the take over attempt, younger generation hate Fulham more. Probably because a lot of their Premier League era supporters who seem unaware of where they were before Al Fayed took over.

You were singing that you hate QPR on Saturday. I think that now we are playing you more, and Chelsea less we will start to see more of a hatred towards you lot.

Did you go on Saturday? It was a cracking atmosphere. Surprised that you didn't sell it out though.

We’re shit, who knew? Oh well, we’ll be in the same division as Derby next season, just without a squad of 45 on an average wage of 20 grand a week like yourselves.

Haha.

Let’s go back 60 years so we can include any success Derby have had.

Fuck it, let’s go back to the 40’s when Charlton were league runners-up, war cup winners, FA Cup runners up and winners. Surely we deserve to be in the Premier League aswell based on that?

Do you still have a sofa in the corner? That screamed Premier League.

Thankfully, our fans showed what they thought of that sofa during one protest.

Despite being on a club record of seven away defeats I’m looking forward to Bolton. All the boring families, old people who sit down all game and kiddies have been priced out so it should be a rum away end.

4,500 sold for Preston already, guaranteed to sell out, as it should.

Should give us some of the Tom Finney stand too imo :dk:

Sorry to drag this away support thread back to the topic of away support, but does anyone have figures for the following games last weekend? I often get the impression that some people know more than they are prepared to share on here, or have easy access to programmes for example, but don't post them, can't imagine why. Hence loads of gaps. League 1/2 and even the National League forums are much better at sharing.

Thanks both.

Middlesbrough print the figures in programmes, hopefully someone will pick up on this soon. Norwich used to, don't know if they still do.

I’m going up there in few weeks, so will post it, if it hasn’t already been posted.
