Yeah 4-0. Saw some photos on Twitter earlier the pitch near the away end was covered in seats, flares, bottles etc, bunch of utter mongs

Never known what to make of Stoke, seen them portrayed as quite a troublesome fanbase before but you very rarely see it.
My Dad went to Stoke near the end of 90/91 season for a promotion battle and he said our fans got kept in for ages after the game as a Stoke mob were waiting outside for them with knives and baseball bats. Could’ve just been my Dad telling his 10 year old kid a load of shit like but I’ve also seen hundreds of Stoke invading the pitch at Blundell Park having a mass brawl with our fans earlier in the same season, which is probably why it all kicked off again at the one my Dad went to.

Will never forget the last time Stoke were at ours they were battering police in the stands. Think it kicked off somewhere in the away end about three quarters up the top and a few coppers came up the stairs to try and throw the troublemakers out. They got punched right back down the stairs by all the Stoke fans in the vicinity. One got trapped and was getting rained on with punches before his mates managed to pull him away. Was actually quite uncomfortable to watch.

Don’t like Stoke at all. Their fans are dickheads and the accent goes through me. It’s like going back in time up there, but the beer is dirt cheap. They can be quite a troublesome lot too and it’s fair to say they have had their moments :)

I went in to Stoke once before our cup match at Port Vale when we were in non league and the place was the biggest shit tip I’ve ever seen, and bear in mind that’s coming from someone who’s lived in Grimsby my entire life, so for me to call somewhere else a shit tip speaks volumes about the place.

No, Leeds born and bred. Just know a few people and people who know people.

Home and away every week for decades so you get to see many characters.

No different to most on here really...
You’ll probably know Simon Ridley then?

It’s all quite odd really, when the draw came out we were not too chuffed with it and didn’t think much of it but the lardies sold 4100 in a few hours whilst we planned to do our usual boycott of the tournament. They essentially made a big thing about turning it into a real Potteries Derby (possibly down to the repeated failures against us at the turn of the century) so we sold a few more tickets.

Some weird scenes, Stoke fans handing out song sheets with anti Vale songs on, it was a no lose game for them, lose and Vale beat their kids, win we never hear the end of it.

Yet somehow in a way only the lardies could they managed to lose and no lose situation by getting walloped then getting so wound up they trash the ground and surroundings and jump on locals cars and get themselves plastered on the National News.

In footballing terms it’s hilarious but in general terms they are an absolute disgrace, and we are no angels but thats another level.

My dad always told me Stoke were some of the worst fans to come to Deepdale back in the day

Thanks - 33,000 expected or thereabouts then.

As of 2 days ago, just over 600 have been sold. Pay on the gate will be available so maybe it will be nearer 800 but £42 to pay when you get there?! Serious money.

Who in there right mind would actually potg at Leeds anyway at £42 or £44. There's no way I'd be attending that fixture if I was a southern based fan at the prices they charge.

Stokes Naughty 40 (N40) even before the likes of gold tooth 'F' that have been mentioned before on here had a reputation many years ago but hugely diluted in the last 10-15 years as with most reputational clubs.

Of the actual trouble you see nowadays its tends to be under 20's trying to rekindle stories of yesteryear from fathers and grandads and recreating 'the scene' from the distant past - a 6 month stretch for a bit of bravado simply not worth it.

Now pass me the Sherry and a nice mince pie.

Was that the game when your lot started chanting during a minutes silence, and Stoke came on the pitch in the corner trying to get into your stand?

Edit: Early 00's the game I'm on about so probably not the same game.

Get what you’re saying in terms of principle but also take the point that if you’re going to Leeds away and making a day of it as I did the other week it cost about £200 so £30 or £42 for a ticket isn’t ground breaking. Understand both sides of the argument.

:lol::lol::ffs: That’s brilliant, such a Stoke thing to do, go to watch the U21s get spanked at your local rivals in the worst tournament in British football. Takes me back to going to their new ground in the mid 90s, in fact I think it was their first year in the new stadium, we beat them 7-0, they smashed their own stadium up then stormed the directors box and smashed the board room up too  absolutely brilliant day out, the walk back after was eventful though!!

I’d bloody love to do them over on Boxing Day, ruin Rowetts Christmas.

Around 1500 Derby tickets sold for their trip to the DW on Saturday. Massive!

If we get near 2k it'll be a decent following after a couple of 3k's and a sell out at Sheffield United. For us, anyway.

Norwich on the 28th will probably be shite.

Probably not, it coincides with when the schools finish.

Stoke are good at trying to bully lesser teams these days. They have certainly had their moments, and could pull big numbers. Just not worth it now, as has already been said. They were one of the better lot from the midlands.

I think Wednesday are only charging blues £20 NYD. If so Blues will probably sell out there.
