The European Cup years ago was harder to get into than it is now, but easier to win. I think the Uefa Cup was harder to win back then. Can’t remember when the top 4 started going into it, but I remember us finishing 4th in the league in 96. Also beat Leeds 3.0 in the league cup final, and got to the semis of the fa cup.
