All they need to do is make it a 2 or 3 year rolling system. Not rocket science.
Is it any fairer this way? It just becomes a closed shop because those getting the tickets will keep doing so.

How on earth does it become a closed shop for a club like preston, it only becomes a closed shop for clubs that sell out every single away game, so basically 1 in this league. And they have their own system which gives all season tkt holders a chance for a lot of away games and even 20% for members.

Think ours should be tweaked as a few get tickets and points but don't go and their mates use tickets, not a major issue but seen some fuckers at certain games I've not spotted away (they bugle and drum) cos they blagged a ticket. c***

It happens everywhere. You’ll get our fans that are 18+ 15+ aways purchasing tickets then passing them down if they don’t fancy doing that game for whatever reason. Keeps their aways games above where they need to be to get tickets.

Not really any way of stopping that though, always gonna happen , your not telling me if you didnt have enough points for a game at bramall lane but your mate could get you one you wouldnt take it.

I was talking in general, not just for Preston. If I look at ourselves, we are selling the vast majority of away tickets and are virtually at 100% capacity at home even with caps on season tickets. I can't get a ticket for Brentford next weekend because I was too slow by a day. Likewise at QPR and Fulham. Get into a promotion run, whatever the division and these tickets go like hot cakes.

There is no exact good / totally fair method, but don't necessarily think points are the answer.

You'll sell out for about 6 away games where demand is high, so if you have a loyalty scheme in place your fans that make the trips to blackburn, hull, boro,Sheffield, wigan and so on would then be guaranteed one for the qpr, fulham, brentford games its definitely the best and fairest way.

Points is completely the fairest way and the rolling 2 years works brilliantly. Especially for clubs like us, Preston and Luton. As long as you travel away regularly you’ll always be in the top 1000 I’d imagine which should guarantee you a ticket at pretty much every ground.

If you’re “too slow by a day” that’s your fault, nothing to do with the loyalty scheme.

Derby sold about 1300, for Fulham away, could make 1500, quality following on a Tuesday night game, seem our away followings have been decent so far, do not know why as we have been awful away so far, hope this changes on Tuesday, and yes I will be there.

Sold 500 for Boro on Wednesday night.

Absolute nut jobs. 30 quid, no win since the opening day, red button, Middlesbrough...nah, you're alright.

Liverpool Echo linking us to Caoimhin Kelleher again.

Not sure on this one, he might have talent but his lack of experience is a real concern, the likes of Johnstone & Pickford came here with plenty of lower league experience under their belt.

Fair play, can't imagine we'll have that many at Hull tomorrow for the same price.

Mental cases. I won’t even be wasting my time pushing the red button.

165 Wigan at Millwall. And I bet more than half of those were fans who live in London.

No mentioning of our following in a crowd of 9,500.

Guessing its probably easier for luton fans to get tickets for away games than home games this season - Suspect their home attendences would be 5-10,000 higher if they had the capacity for more home and away fans
