Wait til you see what Leeds are taking on Thursday to Wolves. Shockingly low away attendance for us coming up. (PS: 4 coaches arrived at half time at Charlton so not sure if they're in Leeds figure - the original reason the blackwall tunnel was down to one lane on Saturday was due to a bloody charlton player curbing and breaking axle on his Range Rover for girls (evoque?)

Haven't you sold 2k?

Ps they would have been included or the stand was over capacity :)

Please, our away support pisses over yours every season, regardless of what league were in or where we have to travel to.

Considering we've been in the league for over a decade, played half the teams countless times, play horrible football (or so we're told), pay high prices all season, have further to travel, and you've been up and down the leagues playing new teams and had things to shout about, I wouldnt say it pisses all over ours every season!

The numbers don't lie my friend. We've had a better away attendance average than Ipswich for as long as I've been alive. Sorry but for you to have the the audacity to slate that is quite laughable.

491 Forest tonight!
Ouch.

Don't blame them, an average side with two away games either side of the weekend televised. Pretty shit schedule, but that is bizarrely low by Forest's standards.

I think people are being unfair on Forest. They brought more than twice as many on a Friday night as Crawley did a couple of seasons ago. Forest are a bigger club. And play interesting football. Like us. As people have now seen twice in four days on TV. Seriously.

I'm talking about this season though not the average since you've been alive...

IMO it should be compared on how many Wolves take to Town and Vice Versa and with that, there's not much in it! Apart from Fulham, we don't have anyone remotely close who will offer 5k away allocation let alone the 10k you were given at MK!

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Wolverhampton is wonderfully located for traveling, bang central with all those nearby motorways and a major train line up and down the country.
Ipswich is the arse end of nowhere and a bitch to get to once a season, nevermind starting from every other week.
A no-brainer for which is going to see greater traveling numbers, but I'd have a lot of respect for the Ipswich regulars (or Middlesborough/Plymouth/Carlisle etc in the other extremities).

Just shows that mileage is a huge factor when it comes to away followings, but also shows how poor some of the midlands/lancashire/yorkshire teams away followings are.

3 of the bottom 5 clubs for away fans at their ground (Us, Boro and Brighton) are in the top 5 mileage factored away followings.

I assume you have factored the mileage in for the away fans travelling to your/those ground(s) when making that "poor" statement.
Or are you just comparing the mileage unadjusted visitors with your own mileage-adjusted away support?

You realise you have a much bigger fanbase than all of the Lancashire clubs right?

Surely that's a more important factor than mileage?

You mean catchment area, surely?

Well yeah, both.

Not to mention all the football league clubs within such a small area, we have Man Utd, City, Liverpool and Everton 30-40 minutes away.

You're tripping over other clubs in Yorkshire and the midlands as well, not forgetting London either.

Aye, we are football saturated up here, about 15 league clubs within an hour drive.

Derby, Chesterfield, Man United, Man City, Barnsley, Leeds, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Bradford, Forest, Notts County, Doncaster, Mansfield, York, Burton.

Yes catchment area is likely to be bigger quite obviously, but then Wolverhampton is double the size of Ipswich so swings and roundabouts.

I'll wait until everyone moans about coming to Ipswich because it's crap to get to.

I did try to work out if using the same factor amount would work but couldn't get my head around it! I imagine it's as straight forward as that! Even so, Boro and Town are still taking far more away than those come to Town.

Because these fucking glory-hunting clubs are just stripping away Wednesday support, eh? Bastards. If I were a rich Yorkshireman, I'd buy all three of those clubs and move them to somewhere like Milton Keynes.

If it wasn't for them Staffordshire scum going to Burton instead every week, Weds would have a following as big as Leeds. Almost.

No. I'm being a facetious c*** because you're whining that Burton are in your catchment area. Along with the Spratly Islands.

Anyway, since when have I needed a reason to be a facetious c***?

To be fair I only included Burton cos I only had 14 teams, I didn't whine that they were taking support just stating a fact, you pretentious sod.
