Just want to credit Blackpool fans for the 'RIP Sir Jack' banner they held up during the minutes applause we had for him last weekend. Nice to see he was respected from other clubs just as much as he was respected here.

Good to see you've made it mate, will others be following?

I would like to put on record that Karl Oyston is a very nice man and it was gratuitously unfair of the League Paper this weekend to draw a comparison between Sir Jack Hayward (who put £70 million of his own money into his football club then sold it for a tenner) and Mr Oyston (who didn't).

The only part of the article that I sincerely agree with is when it was stated that Wolves fans are glad that they got Sir Jack and Blackpool got Oyston. Hugely, fucking mightily, ecstatically and unanimously thrilled.

I would like, with possibly the entire Wolves fanbase across the planet, like to sincerely thank the entire Oyston family for being Blackpool supporters. Even though I'm using the term 'supporters' in a manner with which most people were hitherto unaccustomed.

Wahey, nice to see you made the crossover Jose, a victim of the over zealous modding at the former site :bye:

The Blackpool lot were ugly, miseraable bastards, but I'm assuming you want the numbers rather than the qualitative analysis.

Fair play to anyone travelling from Cardiff to Boro for a midweek game.

Anyone doing that God awful trip on a weekday evening deserves respect. You're looking at a 12 hour round journey. I would guess that Boro visited in Aug/Sept, this would have had an impact on the numbers travelling. January, freezing cold, snow would put a lot of people off.

More surprised about Boro's home crowd plummet after 32,000 against Forest to 16,000 last night?

Are you really though? You can't fault their away support, but at home they're attrocious.

Are they really 'atrocious' ? A small working class town in one of the most deprived areas in the UK? Personally think the 17k/18k average is pretty reasonable.

It's not great, Jose. But its a frigging nightmare to get to on a week night. Factor in the ridiculous cost of tickets for a shitty old stand too.
I still think you'll take around 750.

Midweek away support is always poor, I recall, at Ipswich. On a Saturday, Ipswich and local towns is a great day out....but it's just a pain to get to for the evening, especially when most teams have little prospect of returning home with even a single point. Makes for a miserable evening for most, with no 'sun, sea and sex'.
