I prefer Hillsborough because of the away end, though the first time I went to Elland Road we were in the little cheese section and had about 2k there. Was a decent atmosphere that day.

Hillsborough was built in 1899, Leeds weren't formed until 1919.

Before East stand was build we was in terrace in front of a really old stand, Lowfields I think it was called.
I can remember us filling all terrace and stand in promotion season in 80s, we was robbed of a win when Andy Richie punched ball into net from a cross seen by everyone in ground except ref and linesman.

Yeah that's where we were when I first went. Last time as an away fan was in what is the away end now, then this season on the Kop. Got Leeds away in a couple of weeks actually, Sunday 4:30pm on Sky....

Hillsborough and Elland Road are both great grounds. Good old traditional stadiums with plenty of history. I don't go to nearly as many away games as I used to (none so far this season in fact) but if it was guaranteed £20 maximum at those two I'd be there every time we played them. I know they're both very close to me but I don't pay £35+ for shite second tier football no matter how close it is.

One of the rare losses to you in my time watching us play. You officially relegated us too at bramall lane to league one although it was already virtually impossible to stay up anyway.

Leeds got knocked off their perch last season by us and Newcastle. First time ever I believe since they got relegated from the prem. I think they will sell out everywhere this season though. Home crowds are up, so away demand will be higher.

It's not weird at all it's what people enjoy doing just as others enjoy doing other things. Whatever you do with you're life I don't think you'd take too kindly to being called a weirdo for doing it. Also you're having a pop at football fans for going to watch there team everywhere on a football forum.

I used to go to every away during a period of my life, time off work, shed load of cash but now it's pick and choose, and yes it's a quite a few a season but less than before, you do still see the same faces you always have.

Just there way of enjoying life, I did it myself 7 years without missing a single game and very rare I miss if I'm in England these days ( obviously not at the minute). It's not all about the football it's generally a good day out. One of the best blokes I've ever met was one of these so called weirdos so I ain't accepting it.

Right then. Last time I looked in a thesaurus I never found weirdo and dedicated as like words. People choose to do what they want regarding following their team and in no way does that make them weird unless we all want to join the happy clappers of the premier league and Sky TV. Maybe its different for some at Hillsbrough but not the genuine fans I've met in Sheffield, where both of two of my son's live.

When I was younger I didn't miss a game for 4 seasons. I was self employed and living at home so had plenty of spare cash which I chose to spend on getting pissed with my mates and watching some really shit football. I don't see what's weird about that.
