Like you wouldn't be shitting a brick watching him line up to tear Liverpool apart with consummate ease.
Never really did that much when he was here did he?

He's a crock one-trick show pony, no better than Walcott.

You'll need to wait at least another 30 years so that you have at least a small amount of history first. Money buys you titles and fans, but not history.

We have plenty of history sunshine, and ours is ongoing, unlike certain other outfits with an illustrious past, now just a memory.

They have Bamford, if Mourinho actually looked at his academy he would see that there are plenty of people just waiting for the chance to shine, and half of them probably could do a job

Bamford is a nice idea, but not sure he'd be so prolific in the top flight, not just yet anyhow.

My Boro supporting colleagues are always talking about how good a player Patrick Bamford is.

If Middlesbrough get promoted through the play-offs, would it not make sense to send him back there next season to get some Premier League experience?

He'd play regularly and they've got a chairman in Steve Gibson who won't just sit back and collect the TV revenue. He'll invest and back his manager by allowing him to bring in whoever he wants (within reason obviously).

He's built his career on storming past a fading Maicon and thats only because he has pace. Double up on him or cut down his space (like what Juve did) and he goes utterly missing. £80 mill - really? Not even worth £30 mill, and isn't even half as good as Sterling could be.

Having Bamford gain experience that way is an idea that has been banded about, of course at the momemt it depends on the fate of Middlesbrough; wouldn't suprise me to see him loaned to another top flight side if they don't get promoted.

:10:

You laud Coutinho as your player of the season (5 goals on 91 shots and 5 assists in 32 games; Sterling is 7/78/7 in 33 games) and say Bale isn't worth £30m? He has 13 /95/8 in 29 games. He had 15/88/12 in 27 games the year prior (plus 6/32/4 in 8 UCL games). If that's not a £30m player, especially at 25, then what is Adam Lallana? Sure, Bale doesn't play with non-CL quality players like Sterling or Coutinho, but he also has Benzema, James, and Ronaldo to compete with.

His athleticism is certainly his defining aspect, but he delivers a persistent threat and end product which Sterling will be fortunate to achieve. I don't particularly like the bloke, but Liverpool would do brilliant to send Sterling + £20m for him.

Staaaaahhhhpppp. Pls staaahhhpppp. I know you are on a bit of a wind up trip, but it's still hard to read.

Nominated for Premier League POTY twice, won it once. Most expensive player of all time, because he's one of the best players in the world. The decisive goal in the Champions League final. One of the most dynamic attacking talents in the world after starting his career as a left back. Statistics that blow any player you've compared him to out of the water. Amazing end product (shooting, crossing, set pieces - it's a crime that Ronaldo gets to take them when Bale is one of the best in the world at this).

If he came back to the Premier League, he would be one of the top three players in it again. Instantly.

That doesn't say a lot for the quality of the PL if he were to become one of its best players assuming he came back.

£30m? Really? Bale tore teams a new arsehole almost on his own when he was at Spurs. Imagine what he could do with the likes of Hazard and Costa helping him out.

But the Premier League has world beaters like Coutinho, Sterling and Walcott.

Bale may not be having a great season at Real Madrid but that doesn't make a him a bad player, considering he's been pretty impressive in the previous 2-3. Salty is either on a wind up or believes too much Spanish press

I watch Real Madrid a lot and he just hasn't performed regularly. Sure ok, maybe he has shown glimpses of something decent, but the place looks too big for him imo and he was no where near being an £80 mill player anyway. He's certainly no where near the level the hyped up press thinks he should be at.

He's more than capable of grabbing goals here and there in any league, but if he's 3rd choice surely he doesn't need to be overly prolific, gaining experience in training and sitting on the bench at times will do his development the world of good and it will show Paddy that he's needed, which is all he wants

You don't think he'd be better off leading the line for Boro then if they're promoted in terms of his development?

He needs regular playing time for at least a year before we even consider bringing him back. (in the PL)

Bale is a sensational player, only a little out of form at the moment. People have short memories. He'd be Real Madrid's star man if Ronaldo wasn't around.

Gareth Bale having a bad season: 28 games: 13 goals, 8 assists.

Hazard having the best season of his career: 35 games: 14 goals, 8 assists.

Maybe Bale is a good idea afterall?
