Played 120 minutes with our second side tonight, but expect a few of them to come into the side on Saturday.

Can't remember the last time Villa won away from home. Watched their first two, they've looked pretty organised but as shite as us infront of goal.

O'Donnell

Little, Flint, Magnusson, Bryan;

O'Neil, Pack;

Kodjia, Reid, Tomlin;

Abraham.
Expect it'll be pretty cagey. 20,000+ in again already though.

0-1 Villa.

Last time we won away from home? Opening day of last season, 1-0 at Bournemouth...

Gollini
De Laet Chester Elphick Cissokho
Tshibola Jedi
Grealish McCormack Ayew
Gestede

If Gestede is injured, we're screwed pretty much, we'd have won at Derby if Gestede had stayed on imo, Kozak is nowhere near fit at the moment. I'd be happier bringing in Green and sticking Ayew up top. That is, if we haven't signed our 'world class' centre forward by then.

2-0 to us.

Reckon we'll lose narrowly, only change to JJ's team would be O'Dowda in for Reid with Tomlin central.

Played very well last night by all accounts, especially first half. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a host of changes from Saturday.

Hopefully Moore will be signed in time for Saturday and can slot in at right back.

Really don't want to gift another team their first away win of 2016. 1-0 to us please.

I really have no idea why we are intent on turning our £10m striker into a £1m winger.

ODonnell
Little Flint Magnusson Golbourne
ONeill Pack
ODowda Reid Tomlin
Kodjia

Some firepower on the bench please.

To accommodate the formation and tammy i presume.. I thought we looked pretty good on the opening day when they were both playing up top second half though.. I do think tammy plays the lone striker role better though.

We aren't turning him into a winger. It is a position he knows and has played in before he signed for us.

Has he played as a right-back before?
Made his debut for Lens as a right back for their derby against Lille in 2015 and provided the assist for their only goal in a 3-1 defeat.

Tshibola and Gestede out. Seriously hope we don't try sticking Kozak up there again, we looked utterly impotent Vs Derby, I'd be more up for a line up of:

Gollini
De Laet Chester Elphick Cissokho
Jedinak Gardner
Bacuna Grealish Ayew
McCormack

Think that'd serve us a lot better than trying to put a clearly unfit Kozak up front.

So today we play a team in our first league meeting since 1979/80, and we have never won a game with todays referee in charge. It's going to be a tough one, but if we click we can challenge them, that's for sure.

Also a reminder for anyone going about the minutes applause on the 24th minute.

Very disappointing to see Kodjia appears to be off, especially to a fellow Championship club. Particularly as that Championship club is our next home game and we've now given them the means to start scoring goals.

But we've got a decent price for him and it's a very good bit of business making potentially up to £10m+ profit in the space of a year. And we were struggling to find a way to get him, Tomlin and Abraham in the same side. That team today looks better balanced to me.

It does leave us in sore need of at least another striker with just Tammy and Wilbraham left, but I always felt with rumours around a big money player coming in it was going to be dependent on Kodjia exiting

Disappointing to see him go, but we can't turn down that sort of money. Fingers crossed we've got two strikers lined up.

Villa are a good side. Losing the midfield badly first half hour, improved a bit when we put Bryan in there and pushed Reid forward but it's hard to see us breaking them down. Freeman actually looking most likely so far
