Tbf I was looking at Dion's Head's post above with the PL teams near the top.
However, when Hedonist Puncture responded to the Wolves fan's question on what the top 3 would be in the PL, he had Everton in the top 3, yet the link I posted had Everton in the bottom 4...
I have used a different data set to one you posted. There is obviously a time difference between them, as Everton has reduced the size of its pitch in recent times However, I still struggle with your weblink being "completely different" as you put it, to the list I posted. I had Man C, Man U and Everton, which it was not too long ago (excluding Blackburn Rovers) and your list has Man C, Man U, Southampton (excluding 'Ull). To me that is not completely different, but similar. Still, each to his own.
I am not sure what was meant by "Well Done", but I assume it is some clever remark, based on 1 data point. Rather than make a negative response (if that is what it was), it would have more interesting for me if you had participated in trying to solve what size table was being listed. I would have thought it would have been something all Oldham fans would have a better chance of identifying, since you went through a pitch size reduction only recently, I think. It is somewhat ironic that my list posting was greeted by a Doncaster fan using choice foul language at me. Ironic in the sense that Belle Vue had the biggest playing surface in the whole of professional football in the UK for many years. Many Donny fans remain proud of that and I enjoy banter with them recounting that old tart Belle, with laddered stockings and topless, but with a wonderful big surface to play on. They can keep their Deepthroat airbrush. Give me Belle anytime.
Leaving the above aside, maybe you could enlighten me on what was the rationale behind a pitch reduction in size at Boundary Park. Was it due to a managerial change and subsequent style of play? Or maybe some stand construction work? Less snow and ice to clear? Or some financial reason? I am ignorant on this and would be interested to know why it was done. I haven't been recently, but remember Boundary Park's pitch not being small and certainly not smaller than ours at Glanford Park. Maybe I have got it all wrong, but when I listed the teams I was surprised to see Oldham below us and near the bottom. If the pitch size has changed, do you or other Oldham supporters find the matches more entertaining? or attacking? or long ball? Or hasn't it made any difference?
The reason I posted the Pitch Size list was to have a change from all the swinging dick, chest banging, scrotum scratching crap that usually occurs whenever that kind of thread appears. It was meant as a bit of fun and learn more about each other clubs.
