As has been touched upon, Curles reliance on Plan B being more of Plan A really harms us. If teams are up for the battle then we are going to struggle. Also I cannot recall many goals coming from Goode's throw-ins this year, its hardly a Tozer throw.

Makes the game against Swindon tomorrow even more important now. Vale certainly in the play-off mix.

I think we will make the playoffs but i fear we are too limited to make the top 3.

Curle is probably shackling you a bit there, players like Lines and Marshall etc are players capable of mixing it up, once Brisley and Legge got to grips with your tactic it became extremely predictable it was just a case of dealing with the issue when a long ball bounced out such as the late volley Brown had to deal with.

You've got the players to have a plan B.

Stating the obvious i don't know too much about Cobblers, but the lad with socks round his ankles, ( Morton ? ) looked like a little boy lost. Presume he is ahead of Williams in the pecking order and Morton just had an off day, seemed to be a bit weak and bar a shot into the side netting he was anonymous.
Adams dead balls and crosses are superb, and Marshall was a livewire as we know he can be.

For ourselves our centre halves literally headed and booted everything thrown their way and Brown made a couple of outstanding saves. Wasn't quite daylight robbery as we had a few moments but a really pleasing backs to the wall resolve shown by the defence.

Which Vale turn up at FGR is anyones' guess but i've got my own idea which one !!!

Anderson had a mare too, surprised he was in ahead of Linesy.

The lads seem pumped up and believing now so hoping a side which plays into our hands with the high press system would see us put in a decent high press performance tomorrow but we will see!

I wasn't there but that was 20 yr old Callum Morton's second game on loan from WBA, he did alright last week at Macclesfield but a gust of wind would knock him over.
Surprised that you said that about Adams, his dead ball kicks and general play crosses were criticised on our MB, he hasn't been good on those for the last couple of games.
Anderson is normally everywhere knitting it all together, he usually runs himself out by the 60th minute and gets subbed.

I mostly disagree about Curle shackling us as well. Since Wilder left we’ve been so so easy to beat and KC came in, steadied the ship and now we’ve kicked on again this season. Its been a few seasons since there was a buzz around the side, and there has been a huge amount of excitement with the cup run and the promotion push, the only downside for KC is that when you’re losing shite football doesn’t get you much credit.

Limitation wise I think what will stop us getting a top 3 spot is goals. If a decent finisher had been on the end of one of the chances we had against Vale we’d probably have taken all 3 points. But as it were, the chances to fell to Hoskins, Adams and Oliver.
