Does it also depend on which division you're in? Hard to plan for next season when you don't know what standard of players you need.

Has Tomlinson even played much this season?

Close to our best player first month of the season but has struggled with injuries since, he’s probably the only one on our released list who can count themselves as being unlucky not to be offered terms, though James Berrett is a steady midfielder who could probably find another Conference club

I imagine that as Shahid is on the NL board, he probably knows things we dont. The fact we arent in an immediate rush to hire a new manager suggests we are waiting to see how things develop.

That's a huge clearout. Lumping on Chesterfield to win the league next season.

Gutted.

To think i will never see Kyel Reid pull on the blue again, his zero footballing ability and pea sized heart....a sad day.

Would have been possibly tempted into offering Barry something but he's injured half the time anyway to be fair. In summary....they can all fuck off! :bye:

Not one of them can have a single complaint. Good riddence, lets start again.

Is Brad Barry a right-back? Seems pally with Ian Evatt, and thought we might have been in for him last season.

I reckon Chesterfield will be up there next season. Don't think they will win it due to needing pretty much a whole new squad but think they will be around the playoffs

Depends how they cope when Shez inevitably wanders off half way through the season to manage Greenock Morton or someone.

How was Lewis Kinsella? Notice he's tweeted he's leaving. Was a great left back when he was here.

Quality back end of last season. Started this season not so good...maybe a bit complacent, got injured and pissed off fans on the radio/towards end of season. Think he's had a club lined up for some time now. Would be good for anyone at this level, maybe even L2.

Sam Muggleton has been signed by Martin Allen to go and just hang out at his house. Make the tea and that.

Hope the lad will still have support from the PFA following his release. suffered a horrendous injury against Southport when on loan to us back in Feb.

"As well as a fractured femur, he has suffered three ruptured ligaments; his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and lateral colateral ligament (LCL)," the statement said. "He has also suffered a tear on his knee tendon."

Will be lucky to play again after that list so I hope he has all the support possible to get him in the best possible shape.

We had him on loan as a young lad from Leicester and the problem then was that you were never quite sure what he actually was.

Cracking finisher but didn't have the physical attributes/speed to play up front and putting him wider was a similar issue but wasted his finishing.

according to his wikipedia page he's a right back
He is a RB. Probably the only one we have released who could have an argument for a new contract.

Pretty much as Lew said, had an awful start to this season but from about October to January was one of our best players. We missed him massively when he got injured in January. Definitely good enough for a top NL or bottom half L2 side.

The following players are contracted for the 2019-20 season:
Christian Dibble
Manny Smith
Shaun Pearson
Jake Lawlor
Luke Young
Akil Wright
Mike Fondop
Jason Oswell
Bobby Grant (Player Exercised Option)

Players who have been offered new contracts:
Rob Lainton
James Jennings
Mark Carrington
Luke Summerfield
Doug Tharme
Kieran Kennedy

Players who have been offered and already accepted a new deal:
Paul Rutherford

Players released:
Kevin Roberts
Chris Holroyd
Nicky Deverdics
Luke Simpson
Kemy Augustein

The following players who were on loan have returned to parent clubs:
Stuart Beavon
Brad Walker
Anthony Spyrou
Cole Stockton
Jermain McGlashan

Invited back for pre-season training:
Leo Smith

No surprises really. If we can get Lainton to agree a deal that'll be big for us, wouldn't swap him for any keeper down here apart from Doug Lindberg. I expect all of the others to re-sign, though Summerfield might go elsewhere if he gets a 2 year offer as I expect we've offered a year to all those apart from Lainton.

Roberts is basically finished, National North part-time level now I would say. Holroyd will pick up a Barrow/Halifax level club I reckon, but he is nowhere near the player at Macc or us last season. Deverdics will be lucky to get any club.

Happy with the releases but astonished at this one. Robbie Weir just seems naturally unfit and is a crock. He must be on a fairly low wage is all I can think

I think I heard our released list will be out Thurs/Fri this week. I don't think any of the out of contract players will be renewed.

How has Young been for you guys at Wrexham? Was a big fan of him when he was here, interested to see how he's got on outside of Devon (only played for Plymouth before us).
