Pleased to see Dan Cowan has signed a full time contract for next season.

Scott Duxbury has had his contract offer withdrawn after he failed to turn up to sign a pre agreed deal.

Darren Stephenson has also been released as we decided against offering him a new contract.

Given the way they turn their squad over year on year there won’t be many players left who played under Morley and Johnson.
As it goes, over half the starting XI and all three scorers in the play-off final were Bern & Jonno signings.

Surprised me to be honest that.

Myles Anderson and Gavin Holohan sign new contracts with Pools, pretty happy, just need Loach and/or Noble now!

Alfreton Town can now confirm it’s Released and Retained list following the conclusion of the 2018/19 campaign.

The Reds finished in 15th place in the National League North after an inconsistent league campaign which saw better results away from home than at the Impact Arena. Billy Heath did see success however with another FA Cup first round appearance and winning a tenth Derbyshire Senior Cup.

Players retained for the 2019/20 season:

Reece Styche – ATFC can confirm that Styche has been made available for transfer; the club are deep into concluding negotiations for his fee.

David Lynch

Morgan Brough

Kieron Hinchley

Harvey Grice

Players who have signed new deals for 2019/20:

Bobby Johnson

Declan Bacon

Josh Wilde

Danny Clarke

Players who were offered terms but rejected:

Luke Shiels

Tom Platt

Nathan Hotte

Martin Riley

Richard Peniket

Players that have been offered terms:

Josh Clackstone

Jordan Sinnott

Danny O’Brien

Tom Nicholson

Players released by the club:

James Clifton

Callum Chettle

Sam Ramsbottom

Craig Disley

Loan players who have returned to parent clubs:

Tom Allan

Adam Curry

The club can also confirm that we have already agreed with and signed five new players ahead of the 2019/20 season and their identity and pedigree will be announced in the forthcoming days.

Interesting stuff. Not as bad as I feared. Good to see we have at least offered terms to players. Surprised to see we have left James Clifton go yet offered terms to Jordan Sinnottt a player who liked like he would be anywhere but the Impact Arena. Feeling better about our situation but will be interesting to learn identity of 5 new signings

We still have no idea if we'll be keeping anyone other than those already contracted for next season as we don't have any management or coaching staff. Every day that goes by we lose ground on every other team, but our owners don't give a shiny shit and they're trying to run the club into the ground.

Sinnott was very good for us at that level. I don't understand why he is struggling for you. Especially since he played under Heath for us too. Only slight negative I would have said about him was he tended to drift out of games due to a lack of stamina

He is not struggling at all but just looks disinterested and that he rather be anywhere else but! Can definately see a lack of stamina in him

It's been confirmed that one of our academy players we released last month has signed for Wolves. What a joke.

I don't mean to pry, but what has gone on at Yeovil in recent years? You guys were in the Championship not that long ago?!

If it's any consolation, we know how you feel so you guys have my every sympathy

Holohan could be a big player for us next season, will be interesting to see what impact he'll make with a full pre season behind him. He was giving sides no end of problems once he was getting more minutes.

Thanks :) 5 years ago this month we got relegated from the Championship, it's been an absolute car crash ever since. Lack of investment, poor management, corner-cutting, inability to recruit/keep good players, all these things lead to where we are now. you will have seen in the FA Cup this season how demoralised we were.

Unfortunately I couldn't make the FA Cup game (really wish I could have!) so I have no experience of the demoralisation you refer to.

Maybe a drop to the National League is what is needed to try and get things back on track? We spent 5 years in the National League North to re-establish ourselves before we finally got it right to return to this level.

I wish you and every other Glover the very best of luck this season.

Ryan Donaldson signs a new deal with us. Someone I would've kept so happy enough with that.

Maidenhead have signed yet another full back no one has heard of from Wealdstone.
Still no keeper.
Could be an interesting formation from Dev this year.

Along with Pearson one of the players you simply had to re-sign.... does absolutely nothing for your goalscoring problems though

We will 1 nil our way into the play off eliminators and then lose to a pub team. From now on to eternity.

Grant is class and probably better than what we have at the moment. I would expect us to keep 433 but have the full backs playing across multiple positions. Grant and Gabriel will both be fine on the wing I think.

I think we can easily get a keeper - there are plenty about - I'm more concerned about Fenelon seemingly being signed as a Clifton replacement - desperately need a quality centre forward.
