Adam Smith has left the building.
Jermaine Hylton on loan from Swindon until January with a view to a permanent move.
Jake Cassidy on loan from Oldham until January.
These two could just prove to be the final pieces of our jigsaw.
We have signed Adam Smith.

Seems to have tailed off recently. And certainly not a position we need strength in.

Never seemed to be fit really, would play half a game then be missing for weeks. Doesn't work hard enough for me either. Always gets a cross into the box though. Very much a luxury player

I read that too, maybe something in his settlement terms?

Update: it now seems he's not a loan signing but no details of length of contract.

Jake Cassidy was a great goal poacher a few years back when Tranmere graced the top of league one. Don't know whats gone wrong in his career since, but if he can get his confidence back it could be a season changing signing for Guiseley. With Tranmere's long list of injuries and suspensions i'd have him back at Prenton park.

He did enough last night to prove he's one of the best we've had in the last ten years. Great control, picks a pass, works hard, can finish and puts himself about. Jermaine Hylton is a perfect match for Cassidy, pacy, tricks, turns defenders inside out, great control and looks up to find and execute a pass. Think Elliott Frear on steroids :D
Can't wait for the next game to see if we can repeat that performance.

I'm a big fan of Hylton, he came through our youth system then saw him when he was at Reddich and looked like a class above. Surprised it hasn't worked out for him at FL level with Swindon. With a view to a permanent, could be an outstanding bit of business for Guiseley.

Gateshead have signed defender Dan Jones from us for a month, we signed him from Hartlepool and he has yet to make a start in the League for us yet.

Seems like it's a month-to-month deal, not non-contract.

We've signed George McCellan who was at Cheltenham last season

Absolutely fantastic signing for you, gutted he never signed a deal with us at the end of last season. There were rumours that Gillingham were going to offer him a deal and being from that way it was the logical move for him (ignoring the fact they're in League 1 as well). Johnson gave all the players a deadline, and George decided to chance his arm. Can't blame him for that at all.

Can't help but feel that in the left-back merry go round between Us, Sutton and FGR, Sutton have ended up on top.

Jake Cassidy: 2 games, 2 goals
Jermaine Hylton: 2 games, one goal, three assists.
Now we see what they can do against better opposition at Lincoln on Saturday. Assuming of course that they are allowed to play in the cup.

Good to see that he's highly rated. Our management are very excited. Although he wasn't involved at all this n Saturday I'd be shocked if he isn't involved in Saturday v FGR

Macauley Bonne has returned to Colchester, which I don't think too many will be fussed by.

That leaves us with no fully fit striker, with Rhead being the closest to fitness. Theo Robinson has hardly played in months, Simmons is out on loan and Marriott is injured.

Is Marriott's arm broken or not? Positive news on his arm mentioned at the press conference today?
Don't think we'll have new players until the Eastleigh game at the earliest now.
