Surprised Portsmouth have let Tollit go. A very positive signing for Tranmere Rovers.

Not deliberately being antagonistic, but if he's that good, why have Portsmouth let him go? (I've not seen him play, and I believe you that he's been impressive so far)

Have you been to Barrow? It's like a third world country..

Maybe he wanted to play for a proper club with a proper manager, rather than mill about with the non-league globetrotters in some pensioners village?

From what I can see, he's really connected with the fans here and is enjoying his football. The Portsmouth fans certainly rated him, and many are annoyed he wasn't given more of a chance. I can only second guess why the Pompey management didn't play him much, so who knows - maybe they've let him go with a great big sell-on clause? As I said before, he still has plenty of room for improvement - he's no polished league winger yet, but he has the potential. He had his only bad game for us when Portsmouth coaches were watching him in the stands.

Fair enough. We've had a few wingers over the years who have been incredible on loan, but quickly gone downhill once they've signed, so I'd be wary of dubbing him the best in non-league after 10 games (I know it was another poster). Seems like a good signing, and probably not good news for ex-Barrow players Almond or Dawson, who I assume haven't played a great deal.

Somebody posted their preferred line-up for the FAT tomorrow, and it included Almond, which made most of us take a second look - we'd genuinely forgotten he was here. I feel sorry for the lad, he'd have been better off staying where he was.

Dawson is still getting games, albeit as a sub, and he was a big factor in our late winner the other day when he came on. He'll still get games.

We are really lucky that tollitt put his worst performance in against york when paul cook came to monitor his progress.

This is a better signing then wallace imo he is bang in form just ask dover, where as wallace is a vast potential

Coops junior confirmed on a 1 month loan. Reckon he'll actually play this time around.

International clearance complete for new central defender Elliott Green. A product of the Lincoln City Accadamy before moving to play abroad for a while.
Thankfully, the knee injury to Rob Atkinson is not as bad as first feared and he could be available for our trip to Woking.

Honestly don't know how he would get into our midfield (even off the bench) ahead of Noble, Traore, Carter, Sinclair, Robert, Kelly, KMB, Frear. And remember Chemlal, whatever happened to him, he was on fire earlier in the season.

Mo Chemlal went off injured during the game at Solihull, since then I think he has only featured in friendly games. What must count in his favour is that he hasn't been sent out on loan, at a time when the only players we have left at the club are just about enough to put out a team and fill the bench, plus a the long term injured.

Little surprised by this?
I think he is a good player and you can see he has potential but not sure he is ready for non league.
Might do better in a good team but lost place to Danny Holmes in midfield at York and he is a centre back

Good signing that, on the occasions I've seen him on the box he's looked good.

Appalling diver though. :bg:

Yeah bit of a surprise in that we have a lot of good midfielders, but obviously with the family ties and the fact he's been here on loan before mean it probably shouldn't be.

Be interesting to see if he plays, bit of pressure on to be good if he does otherwise everyone will say he's only in the team because his Dads the gaffer.

We had him on loan from Arsenal when we were in L2.

He should have gone on to be a solid L1 player IMO, but he did his knee ligaments when with us against Chesterfield and hasn't really been able to kick on. Wasn't great positionally but had more than enough pace to get himself out of trouble but, as I say, his injury has probably slowed him down.

Dagenham had him most recent I think, so they can probably give a more updated view on him.

Happy to offload Hoyte. Decent wages and has been very injury prone. Was transfer listed within a couple of months of joining us and we even played players out of position rather than play him.
