Fucking finally! We have signed a defender. Brad Gascoigne. Numbers several former clubs on his CV. One of which is club captain at Hereford at the start of the 2014/15 season? Any Hereford fans remember much about him?

Allen, Wakefield and Walker released. Very strange timing too!

Charlie Walker looked very good on the couple of occasions I've seen him - could surely do a job for someone in this league?

Also saw that James Gray got released by Southport. I think they pinned a lot of hopes on him this season, but he's clearly shite.

Southport have released James Gray. We have had a right-back playing up front ahead of him and looking like a far superior player, so it doesn't surprise me that we've got rid.

Also surprised at Walker going. James Gray had a good game for Accrington against us, but doesn't seem to have impressed elsewhere

Mitch Hancox has signed a new deal with us until the summer of 2018. Didn't see that one coming. Great player at this level.

We've signed Dan Sweeney off Maidstone for an undisclosed sum. Opinions, guys?

Im shocked by that to be honest.
Such a frustrating player, never looks like hes interested or putting much effort in.....he has the odd great game where you think ''wow maybe he finally gets it'', then he will do sod all for the next 6-7 games and you will be pulling your hair out

Personally i don't think hes even good enough for this level let alone a league above. Hopefully he proves me wrong, maybe playing full-time will be the making of him.

He started out alright last season until he broke his arm. Then whilst recuperating he had his drink driving ban and never really got his head right.

He's a good player but hasnt got the mentality needed at this level . Doesn't seem to have realised that he's going to have to work hard to make it as a pro. A waste.

Wasn't he the player who got a whole in his arm after being bit by one of those spiders?

Not sure Barnet fans rated him *that* much? Good at crosses but poor shot stopper, or the other way round?

Completely the other way round. Pump balls into the box and eventually he'll fuck up. But great shot stopper yeah.

He contributed a lot off the field for us while he was with us but he played very few matches for us last season as he got injured early on and then couldn't dislodge Stephens (who is a better all-round keeper) from the first team.

Martin Allen is really making use of his contacts and scouting network there!

Our manager gives a very fair summary here: http://www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/sport/sweeney-joins-barnet-117906/

I think our fans can be harsh on him as he sometimes looks a bit languid and uninterested, but equally he has had some shockers this season. All the physical attributes are there, he's a big lad and full time football could be the making of him.

I really like it when managers and chairmen are so open and honest about players and transfers. Opens your eyes to the world of how it all works.

All we usually have down here are the completely accurate and honest posts from EastleighFan.

Pretty sure we sold Garrett to Bolton as a youngster before his move to Donny.

Ipswich have now decided to make the game all ticket - 1 week before the game.

A 4th allocation of 700 or so tickets, taking our final allocation to 4,833.

That's an interesting signing, Luke ;)
