Hope Gary has a couple lined up as our squad is looking very thread-bare now.
Saville is a decent enough player for this level and could definitely do a job. Wouldn't surprise me if he went to Woking, after watching their 'defence' on Boxing Day.

ok, but young - has been on loan at Workington where he scored a few goals. Only scored one conference goal for Barrow from what I can remember - a late goal away at Lincoln last season after coming on as a sub. The loan at a higher club that Workington will do him good - and will give us a better idea how good he is. not the usual 6'0+" plus Cox striker though

I would say he's good enough for Conference North, and has probably been wasting his time on loan at lower league clubs. Looked like he was going to tear it up after last pre-season, but when it came to the real action he just seemed a bit light-weight.
It was Grimsby he scored against, and he never really got a chance despite clamours from the fans.
Been through Villa and Bolton's youth systems, and clearly has a lot of ability, so I'd expect him to do well if he's given starts and not just 10 mins here and there.

Saunders added: "The only thing with the loan market is a lot of pro clubs want to give you their young players and I don’t think that’s really what we need.
"We need lads with experience in the position we’re in.
"I could go and get three or four lads from Charlton, Brighton, whoever, but they’ve got to be the right ones otherwise they’re coming in and they’re not going to help us.
"We’re a young side as it is and putting more young lads in, I don’t think it would help us."

Then a couple hours later we announce the signing of a 18 year old from Margate......you just couldn't make it up

Apparently had trials at Premier League clubs, and is probably not signed as first choice. Who knows though, we've had a few lads from lower leagues come straight into the team.

Jack Savile is definitely good enough for another National League side, he played a decent part in our league winning squad.

Yeah back in October. Did think we'd come back in with a bigger offer, o well sure DC and NC will have others lined up as the two lads on trial prove.

Going off what DC has said we've already got two lined up on permanent deals, so I suspect a third would have been too far at that price.

Mind you, they'll have to be good to be better than Akinola and his versatility would have seen us fill a gap out wide or up front and killed two birds with one stone.

Glad he's gone to a league team, not that it really matters to us if he'd have gone to a promotion chasing team. Good for us that Braintree will be weaker.

Yes out of contract at end of the season so we took what seems a decent fee considering.

Delial Brewster signed on loan from Everton until the end of the season. 19 years old, striker, and a Southport lad. Apparently did well when on loan at Stockport last season.

We've resigned Alex Palmer on loan. He didn't work for us us last season so hopefully he's better now.
