Hopefully the undisclosed fee we've taken for Mackreth will help see us tie Rowey up on a longer deal, with something of trigger fee so as not to get in his way of moving on in the game.

Nope! Been ok enough but by no means a stand out performer. Looks like their scouting of him is solely via BBC2 vs. Oxford!

I'd agree with that. He was one of our better players in the Oxford cup game on the BBC and I think it's mainly down to that that a league team has come in for him. I think we'll quite happily to take the money on this occasion.

Apparently had trials at Premier League clubs, and is probably not signed as first choice. Who knows though, we've had a few lads from lower leagues come straight into the team.

I wasn't at the game but apparently he played well against us at our place. The only goal we scored was from the penalty spot. Seemed solid, made a few good saves.

Also from our division Solihull Moors have signed Pearson Mwanyango. Again I didn't see him play myself but our fans in general were very impressed by him. It's a big step up of course, and it's slightly annoying it's after we've already played Gresley twice, but good luck to the guy.

I don't know if it was just a social media prank or something, but apparently this signing hasn't happened (it may still happen), even though the radio reported it. Either way, we're desperate for a keeper to come in.

Needs to work on some aspects of his game but I'd expect to see him in the league in a few seasons. Hopefully we can bring in a replacement.

Was highly rated at Leeds, might need a few younger legs around him in midfield these days, as at his age he's not the quickest anymore.

Could be a very good signing, if he's managed carefully between games.

He's the best finisher I've ever seen play for us, stays super cool when he gets a chance. Not the strongest physically but he puts the ball in the net, just keep feeding him through balls on the deck. He rarely takes pot shots, he'll only pass the ball into the net if he's sure of a goal, if he's not sure he'll lay it off and keep possession.
I was hoping we might try for him again to be honest although a pacy winger is higher on the list.
Very down to earth lad, quite shy actually.

Following his release yesterday by Macclesfield, Richie Branagan has joined Chorley till the end of the season, thus sorting out our keeper problem now that Shaun Rowley has returned to Shrewsbury.

Sssshh we don't want Bury returning him within 14 days of receipt and asking for a refund!

To be fair to Jack he works hard and can have some really good games where he completely runs rings round his full back, they're just not that regular, like as you say an average conference winger you'd expect.

And Danny Rowe is rubbish, move along, nothing to see here.

Today we have released James Caton, and allowed Gary Jones to stay on loan at Altrincham for the rest of the season.

Caton has flattered to decieve, his contract ended after New Years Day and quite simply has been no more than a squad player for us. Jones just doesn't have the legs for it at this level any more.

Quite amusing some Lincoln fans wanted to keep Caton. That soon changed when we signed Nathan Arnold.
