Michael ihiekwe signed for Rotherham.. not much we can do to compete with wages of a top end league one club.

That'll kill Lincoln

Former Wrexham and Aldershot winger Iffy Allen has signed for Bromley. While we still haven't released our retained list and lost our top goalscorer.

Alex Flisher has turned down a new contract with us. After 275 games he was a crowd favourite but just not up to this level.

The news about Flish leaving has definitely spoiled my day, club legend.

Johnson was a massive let down for us last season. For such a big keeper he was ridiculously quiet and a bag of nerves, he was dropped then shipped back to Port Vale.

Sounds like he's been a good keeper for you. It's strange how a keeper can be good at one club then garbage at another, we had a similar situation with Sam Russell and FGR. I'm glad we have Montgomery now, he looks a lot more assured.

Surprised by that. He's been unflappable for us, although he's certainly shy.

Neill Byrne has left us and signed for Gateshead. Gutted about this one- very good defender at this level and still plenty of room for improvement.

To be fair, this happens most summers to you guys and John Askey always manages to find adequate replacements.

Thing is eventually Askey's going to get fed up of having to do it every year.

Now confirmed, both of the remaining members of the squad when we came home leaving within 24 hours of each other. This feels wrong.
That's the thing about going pro, these guys have jobs and lives outside of football and good for them sticking with it. Great servants to the club but it's debatable whether they're good enough for Conference football. I wish them both well!

Why its sad to see them leave, i honestly don't think either are a big loss like some of our fans are making out.

Flish really hasn't been the same player since that terrible injury, and Mills was one of the weak links in a defence that conceded close to 80 goals......improvements need to be made in that area

Cant afford to be sentimental at this level

Signed up so far we have: Jonny Maxted, Danny Lowe, Rob Atkinson, Danny East, Jake Lawlor, John Rooney, Marcus Williams, James Wesolowski. There may be others from last season that signed two year contracts but I can't be bothered trolling through our forum to check!

Gateshead have now signed the strike force that took us up into the Conference North. Did I say up? Sorry I meant down. Down into the Conference North. They've signed the strike force that took us down into the Conference North. Sorry for the confusion. :bdick:

I was surprised to see that too. Surely the lord commander can't be fed up at Gateshead already?

We've signed Kaiman Anderson and Curtis Jones. I have no idea who they are.

Who's making the signings? Don't tell me Southport have a manager in place?

It sounds like when we went down most recently, and started with no players at all. Our Scouse boss effectively raided the Liverpool leagues, and just signed anyone that was happy to play for basically nowt. Some of our triallists that season though...bloody hell...probably out of depth in Sunday league.
