Josh Gowling has officially signed for Torquay from Grimsby.

Great signing that. Have to say I am getting a little concerned at our situation. Just nine players on the books, very little coming out the club and tow nailed on signings fell through now. Hmm.

Odds on Gowling leaving Torquay under a cloud like everywhere he's been?

Decent defender on his day, mind. We didn't see the consistent best of him here unlike at Kiddy or Grimsby but our circumstances were different to that of those two Clubs.

There was no issue caused by him when he left here. It was our board leaking money and he had to get him off the wage bill. Don't think he wanted to leave but was forced out by our own incompetence.

Bromley have signed midfielder Josh Rees from Chelmsford City. Formerly of Nottingham Forest.

Good signing that. Rees was one of Chelmsford's better players last season.

Pretty glad he's gone, a lot of our fans will say the same. Weak in the tackle, can't pass more than 5 yards. More disappointed Hodgkiss joined you instead of us!

Gives it his all, does the dirty work of breaking up play in midfield.. but can't pass for toffee and brings on pressure because of this.. we played better without him towards end of season, no great loss to us really.

I remember listening to that and the commentators howling with laughter at how bad he was. They were some of the worst mistakes I've seen. Every keeper has off days, but he just looked useless.
