Manny Sonupe is our 3rd signing of the day. Looked great on loan here at the end of last season. Things looked bleak a week ago but the squad is starting to take shape.

Happy with that absolutely brilliant against us in March for southport.
Not impressed with rest of signings never heard of them.
Signed Theo Wharton from Cardiff City also international for the mighty St Kitts.

That was Almond at his glorious best. Just wait until you see him at his moody worst!

Jamie Reid returning to us on a 6 month loan, hopefully more as a squad filler and sub. We have a second signing coming tonight as well according to the club's Twitter.

Edit: It's one of our youth keepers from a few years ago that has been released from Southampton. Hooray.

Pleased we've loaned him back to you. He's not good enough to get a look in here, so makes sense to get him of the wage bill (at least partially) and he can get regular game time.

I assume that you're not massively keen on him from your first sentence? Strikes me as a conference south standard player.

They're going for it, no question about it.

Still not convinced we will finish above 10th. It's a strong squad, but there are plenty of squads which are stronger IMO.

Hope I'm proved wrong, of course.

I think in our local rag it said he scored 4 goals in 31 apps for us or something which isn't great. Again, an alright signing if he's someone that can come off the bench and use his pace towards the end of the game but not someone I'd ideally start.

31 starts and 15 sub appearances in the league, so featured in all 46 games. From that he scored 4 goals and got 3 assists, having played as a mixture of striker and wide right.

I think Nicholson gave a very honest assessment that this is a big year for him. Exeter don't want him and he's got 12 months to prove he's worth a contract here, otherwise next summer could be the end of his professional career. At 23 he's not a youngster any more, so has to step up a level.

Class keeper. Not very tall so our manager wasn't a fan. Not very commanding of his area which is his only weakness. But pulls off some Worldie saves and great shot stopper.

Good to hear that, thanks. He'll probably be our reserve keeper but our #1 spends most of the season injured so he'll get some decent game time no doubt.

Widdowson is acceptable. Not really one to run around screaming it's amazing or one to be like FFS Ling, just an adequate upper level Conference player. I'll take that.

We've signed Stuart Moore, who played in goals for Luton in the play-offs a couple of months ago. Sounds decent.

I think there's a decent keeper in there but bloody hell did he drop some clangers. The first thing he ever did was misjudge a long punt from the opposition goal keeper that very nearly went in and the second he completely failed not once but twice to punch away the resultant corner, when he had an age to just catch the damn thing! There's a video of the whole sorry sequence on YouTube I think.

He got dropped after that only coming back in when our other loanee keeper got recalled and actually played pretty decently for a couple of games there... then the playoffs rolled round and well... he shat himself basically.

Don't think he deals well with pressure at all and wouldn't surprise me if his confidence is totally shot after the way things ended here last season where our manager pretty much through him under the bus right after we lost the playoff semi.

Eastleigh have a bloody good player in Sam Wood who we stupidly lett go last month. He can play in midfield or as an emergency left back and scores some stunning goals,i wanted him to be given another year but Ainsworth decided against it,i can only wish him all the best at his new club.

Our young keeper Luke Pilling has signed a new contract despite having offers from other clubs, one being Brentford. Hell of a prospect, won goalkeeper of the tournament at Toulon. Made his debut against Maidstone last season and apparently played a blinder. Be tough to get in the team ahead of Scott Davies, hopefully he plays in the cup games.

Fylde have signed Jack Muldoon from us.

We offered him a token contract on the back of last season but he's a bottom half Conference player IMO. Didn't play too much last season and certainly wouldn't have done this season.

Not at L2 level. In his first season, he was arguably our most improved player and got 10 (I think) from the wing, but that was in a team who finished mid-table. Last season, you could tell early on in pre-season games that those he wasn't going to be good enough to nail down a first team place.

A hard worker, never gives you less than 100%, got pace but not really a good enough final ball, either shooting or crossing depending on where you play him.

He's a really nice guy, though. Does a bit of charity work for Diabetes UK (he has Type 1) and just a good person to have around. Really team orientated and although he'd have been disappointed not to have played more last season, he will have known he wasn't quite good enough - he's not one of these who has a high opinion of himself and wears rose-tinted specs. The Cowleys made sure he was kept involved and looked after (he got the nod at Burnley and Arsenal in the FA Cup even though he wasn't necessarily our strongest option and hadn't been involved in any squads leading up to the games).

You'll not find any Lincoln fans who have a bad word to say about him.

Ok Luke, cheers for the info. Should be a decent signing for us then. We need a winger that has pace
