That last point is interesting. Wondering whether we'll look to employ a 3 CB formation. Might have to go along to a couple of the friendlies and see how we line up.

The experience through our team this year is almost the polar opposite of the previous two so I hope that'll ensure we have a stress-free campaign.

Nicholson seems to have added well so far.

Keith Lowe was brilliant for us in the 2nd half of 2013/14 when we went on a ludicorous run that took us from relegation trouble to a League 2 play-off place. Was decent the following season when we struggled but stayed up, and was then binned by McNamara who replaced our experienced but out-of-form back line with a bunch of loanee children from Premiership and Championship sides. We promptly started leaking goals all over the shop, never recovered and the rest is history. His performances for Kidderminster have apparently been excellent and I imagine he would do a great job for Macc.

Klukowski was a bit of an odd one - seemed like he should be a key signing but never stood out in midfield. Played alright in defence. Could work as a holding midfielder maybe?

Gutted to report Simon Walton has signed for Sutton. Moving back south to be closer to his young daughter. You have a good lad there Sutton fans he will protect your defense incredibly well.

What an odd move. Not over his injuries?

He wasn't due back until October/November I don't think so noone knows. Surprised he's dropped down a division after being in the team of the year but not overly upset at him going.

Strange one this. It was never confirmed or denied whether we had offered him a contract. Could be down to him wanting to move closer to home, being told he's likely to be second choice right back behind Buxton or maybe we just didn't offer him anything. Either way, if he gets over his leg break then it's a great signing for the league below.

I don't think Vaughan is expected to resume playing until September. We offered him a deal, but the combination of a 2 year contract and being closer to home presumably persuasive.

If he's over his leg-break and hasn't lost significant pace, then it looks like a very good deal for Kiddy.

Lee was best for Rovers in a wing-back role. If we're going to be using wing-backs this season, then aside from youngster Mitch Duggan, none of our current squad look capable of filling that role on the right and we may be in the market. Stick with a flat back four and there's ample cover.

Liam Daly Solihull Moors captain has signed for us as well. Can't say I know much about him.

Lee Vaughan is a great signing though hopefully, he has the ability I remember when he's fit.

Two huge signings today. Had a quiet summer up until today but seems to be worth the wait!

Daly sounds a lot more physical than Lowe, which at times is what we needed last year. Whether his playing ability is the same remains to be seen.

Sam Magri has signed for Ebbsfleet from Dover. They're building a very good side.

Delighted with this signing. I'd imagine that will be it from us now, as they're off to Portugal for a week training and will play Shrewsbury out there.

Dover fans have quietened down after signing several of their players in the 2013/14 season. This will rile them up again!

Dover being decimated, it seems - might be wrong, but didn't the chairman hint that he'd rather not get promoted?

Going up would have ruined them according to him, it was the last thing they needed. Bizarre how he kept PUMPING endless money into them really.

We've signed Yan Klukowski, opinions from any York, FGR or Newport fans?

Was amazing with us but I think he's starting to go down hill, definitely not the player we had here all those years ago, lovely bloke though.

Happy with that absolutely brilliant against us in March for southport.
Not impressed with rest of signings never heard of them.
Signed Theo Wharton from Cardiff City also international for the mighty St Kitts.

Got to love Gary Mills crazy scatter gun approach to signings.

It'll be less than what you got for Raggett I imagine.

He's gone for the money, but those who have joined Sutton haven't. Hmm.
