He scraped 10 for us last season, with 4 in the closing weeks, but those 4 kept us up. Until then he was a disappointment and struggled to hold down a starting spot.

Work rate and attitude aren't the best but he's certainly capable of individual moments of brilliance when facing the goal. Most of his goals for us were very good strikes including a couple of absolute screamers.

Anyone that can get the best out of him will get a very good striker. 12 months ago we thought this would be us, but it didn't turn out exactly as planned. His performances/goals in the final month definitely saved us from relegation though.

We've signed 6ft5 striker George Waring from Stoke on a 2 year deal. Backup for Cook I imagine.

I think the plan is for him to partner Moussa Diarra at the back (another who gets his head on anything), or play left of a back three - we played 5-3-2 for the last handful of games of the season. I guess it depends on whether we can keep hold of our left-back Anderton.

He was excellent while he was with us. Really impressive

The fans aren't too enamoured with this, just because on paper it looks like he was too crap for Grimsby, and was bumming about in Conny North last season, but to me he sounds like just the sort of player that will be successful with us. Good to hear he's decent.

Any news on Fylde signing Beeley? I'm sure they were favourites.

We have signed Jon Worsnop from Bradford PA and Connor Smith from Hartlepool. I'd assume that Kyle Letheren will be off.

Bags of energy, and has scored any amounts of goals for our reserves. Could never bring it to the first team though. Bit of a headless chicken at times, but I think he will do well in your league

I haven't heard that we're signing him but we do need a right back so it wouldn't surprise me. Dan stood out like a sore thumb for us but as you say that was in the league below and I'm not sure of the standard yet in this league

There is a big step up (once the momentum of promotion dies down) and a lot of players can't hack it - namely Simon Grand. So it'll be interesting in that respect.

Beeley was a stand-out player for us last season and a massive surprise to see him leave, but all signs pointed to him wanting to move to a club closer to his home (I think in the Morecambe area), and on a longer deal than the one year he'll have been offered here.

Wasn't there also rumours of Fylde being ready to offer Grand a deal? Best avoided, in my opinion.

Come on Railway Blue. Wornsop had personal problems during his second year at Chester. Those are now resolved and he played an integral role in keeping Bradford PA up in the Conference North last season. great keeper for Step 2 for sure.

This Kidderminster defence were stealing better be good. Find it odd how we can't seem to find anyone but defenders from Kidderminster. So now we have the Salford keeper, 3 Kidderminster defender and 1 of our own. Talk about trying to get the best of the conference north back lines to match our forward

Okay Tunni and ZFA are great we're probably up their with the best in the division last season but Ezewele isn't. Had a decent start with us but dropped off and was eventually dropped for Williams and then Hodgkiss.

Would have like to have seen him be offered a contract but he was released at the end of the season with no deal offered.

It's a strange signing as I expected him to join his brother at Tamworth or at another club this level.
