Pleased to have Asante back. Shame it didn't work out at Grimsby, although I'm not surprised.
Been injured most of the time, when he's played he looks really good so I hope he's a future here.
Official line is that this loan is just for fitness but with Slade in charge you can never be sure as his transfers out so far have been bizarre to say the least.

Project "Land Of The Giants" continues apace as we sign Rowan Liburd from Stevenage on a three month loan.

It was fun when we sold our four senior strikers in January and loaned in Liturd as their replacement. Every day a cavalcade of joy with Becchetti...
We can't grumble really, Mike Fondop is proving to be a prospect.

Cox brought in Mike Fondop who is starting to look the real deal so I'll reserve judgement, the two of them up top might just be what we need. Odejayi can hold the ball and win flick ons but he cant run.

Which of those things have you been led to believe Liturd can do?

So we signed some guy called Reece Hall Johnson a couple of days ago, today we've loaned him to Chester for 3 months, strange club we are.

Good luck with that he was terrible for us. Didnt look up to National League standard and was binned off after a month or 2.

Hopefully he starts when we play you, cos Hines should have a field day against him.

Literally anybody is an improvement on Andy Halls, probably be better off just sticking a cone there to be honest.

Maidenhead sign Moses Emmanuel (formerly Ademola) on loan from Sutton.

Finally, a striker after over a month of a centre mid and winger as our forward line!

Why doesn't Emmanuel ever seem to stay anywhere very long?
He left Bromley when offered a new deal thinking he was the best thing since sliced bread. Clearly is more to do with him than the clubs he's played for.

No surprise that, Tranmere was always a terrible fit, for various reasons.

Is he good enough to thrive as a forward with our long ball tactics?

Being one of the very few teams that tries to play football being the biggest sticking point when his touch takes the ball out for a throw. Seems like he's alright at kick and rush which will suit Dover.

Nah, the fans mostly. That’s not a dig either by the way. His head drops very quickly if the fans get on his back, which has definitely happened from the outside looking in. You’re desperate for promotion and I knew some impatience would quickly come out if he didn’t hit the ground running.

I also wondered on how he’d mix with some of the other Tranmere players to be honest, personality clash with some of them.

He needs games, going to Maidenhead is ideal. Lets hope he gets a few goals. First game v Dover!

wouldn't have minded us going for Alabi as a back up to our options of Cook and Rhead...

Alabi gets a lot of stick, but he's got a lot of potential. I may be the only one, but I'm pretty annoyed we've sent him out on loan, especially to a fellow NL side. If you hoof it to him, he's not going to be effective but if you hoof it over him and get him to run onto it, he could be lethal.

Likes a signing on fee,
He left Bromley in the hope of going to Gillingham. trailed for them in a behind closed doors friendly v Dover, they rejected him and with a few days before the season was due to start, we were in the right place at the right time, as the highest club around .At the end of last season we offered him a contract, despite knowing about his move to Sutton, we matched their wages as well, then he got greedy and wanted to match their signing on fee, we told him to go jump. I think we have seem the best of him now in the conference as he has not had a regular place since he left Bromley , we signed him as back up for the free scoring Peterborough Forward , who is Miller

He's barely played. Anyone making judgement (including the person whose bright idea it was to loan him to the team currently 2nd in the league) after what he's been given so far is being incredibly harsh.

Alabi out, McDonagh in - brilliant. (Nothing against McDonagh, just sick of us giving other team's young players time over our own, graduate or not).
