Jordan Nicholson signs for Darlington. NL North is probably his level.

It looks like we'll be signing 3-4 players from D&R (Howell and Howells also rumoured). Are these the better players from their squad or is Still just recruiting average players he trusts, like Allen is at Chesterfield?

Howells played at left back and is truly awful in that position. Actually a decent midfielder, injury prone too. Be surprised if you signed Howell, use to be a good player for us but injuries in recent years has seen a decline in him.

Cousins never played most of the first season with us, only started play offs. There are better keepers at this level. Robson very good player at Centra back, gets muscled a bit by the chunky strikers.

Still will get you up there but his outdated tactics and refuse to change (no plan B) them in anyway will see someone else win the league.

We’re pretty well covered at left-back so I’d be surprised if we signed Howells to play at left-back.
Those of us who have watched Barnet in the late-90s well remember Stillball, although I think that his tactics have evolved since then!

Bonne was obviously always a really good signing. From the digging around it sounds like Gorman's limited with passion... Still not seen him though.

If he can run and tackle he’ll immediately be better than Clay or Lawless. Any ability on the ball a bonus.

Bit surprised at that, thought Dan had shown enough to stay in the squad and maybe kick on but he probably wouldn't have been an automatic starter so can see why he'd prefer to return to you.

Plus it's closer to home and he has a great relationship with Dos

Has Craig Clay not done all that well for you then as I thought he'd do well back at National League level, one of my favourite players in our promotion season i was really disappointed when we released him as I thought he could do a job in League 2.
On our way to Southport away we saw him at Nottingham services waiting for the team coach to pick him up and we had a good chat with him and you couldn't wish to meet a nicer bloke, or at the risk of sounding like ChrisFGR he's a top lad.

Can’t speak to whether he’s a nice bloke or not, but he was absolute wank on the pitch last season. An utter apparition of a player. Shocked when I remembered he scored 4 goals because I can’t think of four times he touched the ball.

According to someone on our forum, Salford have signed Scott Wiseman. Was reasonable for us on loan last season in L1, so ought to be decent in NL.

Not a player, but we've taken Mark Yates from Solihull to be our new boss. Happy enough with that.

Does he realise you are penniless? And in a few weeks time will be merely hours away from liquidation.

Keates seems to be building a team that he probably would have tried to build down here if he was still with us..

Not sure on Thomson but thoughts on the mass exdus from the Gateshead and the failed takeover? Looks like a tough season ahead.

Disappointing that 2 takeovers fell through but it is what it is and we have to get on with it. It’s probably for the better than the Chinese investors didn’t take over because it sounds like they had no plan or actual proof of funds so it would have all went tits up eventually.
We will more than likely have the smallest budget in the league next season so we have no expectations, just hoping to have a team that can manage to finish 5th bottom and hopefully plays some decent football instead of the boring football we got used to under Aspin.
We have managed to keep Fraser Kerr which I’m surprised at because he could play for anyone else in the league. Apart from Kerr and Thomson we have 2 academy players signed up at the minute. Hopefully we can manage to keep Scott Barrow but it looks like he will be off to Hartlepool which will be a brilliant signing for them best left back we have had in years
