Sounds like a decent signing then. Prediction revised to 8th.

Strange about the long range shooting, he scored a couple of belters for us!

Not sure I agree with some of these comments, yeah he did better last year than the season before but we were an absolutely awful side last season and he was part of that awful team, sure one of the better players but still an awful awful side.
Suppose this is the conference though, so awful in lge 2 is above average in non league. Hope he does well, but it's not a win the conference signing.

We’ve turned into Chesterfield this week. Signed keeper Rob Lainton on loan for the season from Port Vale. Seems to be someone who has had bad luck with injuries, meaning that he loses his place each time. Will be good competition for Dibble anyway.

Pretty much this, glad he’s gone as has been training with the youth team as we want him
Of the pay roll. Just never fit.

Hopefully we can help him then. We’ve had apparent injury plagued players before who have not had an injury once here. But we’ve also had the opposite too.

We’ve signed a young left back Peter Kioso, ex MK Dons youngster and Dunstable, no clue really, one for the future maybe?

He’s had them pretty much non stop through his career as we hoped for the same thing. He’s not a bad keeper just not fit and we missed having a settled number one so had to let him go. I wish him the best though and if he plays well he’s yours on a free come May.

I can't remember the last keeper we signed who wasn't made of sheer glass.

We have also signed left back Ryan Sellers from Wealdstone. An unknown quantity to many town fans. Anyone on here know anything about him?

3rd signing of the night for us. Josh Staunton from Woking who is the current England C captain. Great signing for us. Based off our business so far I think we’re going to have a successful season

Any views on us new signings, Mekhi McLeod, Ryan Sellers and Josh Staunton? Sounds like we're going for the interesting approach of buying all the talent out of the south east so a few cockney sides finally go down next season.

£250k + add ons, but yes, hope he does well for you. He's a great guy, been my favourite player for a long time and I'm absolutely gutted to see him go

Sarcasm presumably? A Northampton supporting mate of mine didn't rate him at all. Maybe the National League is his level.
You need to scroll through the last 3 or 4 pages of League 2 transfer rumours to see what he means.

His agent has done a good job. Utilise him as a wing back and I think he can do a job in the National League, fantastic crosser of the ball however he's caught square too often when defending to be a reliable left back. Unfortunately it meant I wasn't bothered when we announced that he wouldn't back with the club next season...

Cheers for that, I guess! Maybe we are playing with wing backs this season, currently got I think four wingers on our books...

Any other thoughts from the Grosvenor Vale crowd? Doubt you saw him moving to West Yorkshire, but any suspicions he could play higher or was he simply a fairly dodgy step 2 left back?

No suspicions on my part but he is young enough for that aspect of his game to be corrected.

Pinner Stones may view what I’ve said differently.

Played for us but wasn't up to League 2 standard and only started when we had an injury crisis 2 seasons ago.

Richard Brindley leaves Barnet by mutual consent. He's too good for the NL so my best guess is that his agent had negotiated some kind of break clause in his contract if we were relegated.
