We've just signed Jake Lawlor on a 2 year deal.

Okay.

For 2 years and a fee I hope he's good.

Manny is injured and could be out for a while, this has forced our hand I think. We needed quality backup in defence, hopefully we've got it.

Good player is Jake Lawlor. Always impressed me when we played Guiseley. Couple of guiseley fans I know used to rave about him all the time. As for Salford they are a strange bunch. Got rid of Hemmings very quickly after signing him from Boston and now Lawlor after signing him from Guiseley. A classic case of Forest Green by signing too many players.

Jake has the ball playing talent but is very much the gentleman on the pitch and seems to struggle mentally with using the dark arts that everyone else employs. Get that side into him and you'll have a winner. In the NLN he played mostly as a ball playing midfielder for us.

Pearson will put him right on that.

He gets up to all sorts of crap most matches.

Eastleigh has signed Midfielder Jack Payne on a months loan from Ebbsfleet.

What's he like Ebbsfleet fans?

He’s a slightly better Robbie Weir. Reasonable mid-range passer. Not a great deal else.

I'd say a really good mid-range passer for this level. Not anything else. I lose count of the times he'd show #passion by jumping into an attempted meaty challenge, missing the ball and the man allowing a free entry into the final third.

We've released David Mooney by mutual consent. Shame his second spell didn't work out, he made over 200 appearances for the club. Reckon he'll be pretty good in the Conference South.

Raul Correia has had a request to cancel his contract accepted and subsequently moved to Evo-Stik West Division side Radcliffe Borough (he's going to play for them whilst studying at University) - but with Jacob Blyth now fit he wouldn't have featured much more - didn't feature much anyway - but got us our equaliser at Little old Orient

We’ve bought in George Legg on loan from Reading, a keeper.
Barnet fans - any good?
Seemed decent. Played very few games though so hard to tell.

I do remember him dropping a cross which lead to port vales equaliser.

We've just signed Luke Jordan, a 19 year-old winger from Ramsbottom on a duel registration (whatever that means). Has pace, which we're lacking.

Braintree have signed Elliot Charles

Dear oh dear. You get failed Barnet academy products clustering together at clubs like Potters Bar and Northwood, but I didn't think an NL club would start using that strategy.

I understand that things have been financially tight at Braintree for some time, but most of their signings this summer would be unremarkable in the Isthmian.

It means that he is permanently available for two teams, but one of the teams will always have priority over him. If they don't want him on Saturday/Tuesday, he plays for the other.

Would've had him back here - should be amazing at Conference North level. Sometimes guilty of overplaying it, but should terrify the left-backs at that level!
I had a search on your forum and he seemed well thought of overall, just a shame he got injured. From what he's said, he's not played competitive football for three months so will need to get up to speed. We currently have all three wingers out injured so had to do something. Thankfully the boss provided the extra dosh!
Some of the LUFC fans that knew him were disappointed he was allowed to go to Forest. Fingers crossed he does the business for us.

Brilliant move for Dennis. Anyone's guess what he's like in a full-time, Heathless squad though.

Tom Denton signs for Chesterfield from Alfreton.
Know nothing about him, but he looks a big lad so it looks like we will be seeing more Allen hoofball.

Here is the best tip I will ever give you, with muggleton and Denton in your team.
Wherever you sit or stand move about 20 rows higher.
York are absolutely shit but wouldn’t want to watch that football.
What do you Chesterfield fans think of it?

Wank. We've never really played football this way as long as I've been a fan. If it's effective and yields wins, I could stomach it, but when the team is losing and playing dire football you're just gonna lose fans every week. Not be long before we're below 3k if it continues. I can only hope that this is the signing that makes it work, with Lee Shaw now getting up to speed a bit. Big man, little man thing. It's a hope pinned by very little optimism though!
