I don't know if a whoosh but Kev Thornton had more talent in his little toe than Hurst ever had.
I’m not quite sure why you’re comparing Hurst and Thornton haha. Hurst was a solid defender and Thornton was clever with his creativity. Tell one of them to do the other’s job and they’d struggle. The only similarity you can make is that they’re both absolute fools..

Nice lad. But not known as Missanka for nothing.
I can’t work out how he’s still at Burnley. If you’re progressing, then you move up the leagues, not go back to the same league you did virtually nothing in last season. He has some talent, but displayed it on very rare occasions. I’ll never forget the bicycle kick against Guiseley though, what a goal.

George Smith is a decent left back at this level. Tums isn't a bad option for Dover, better then what they had on show against us but isn't exactly a 15-20 goal a season man

We've signed Bradley Walker on loan from Crewe. What's he like Pool's fans?

We seem to be signing loads of midfielders at the moment.

Making way to loan Deverdics out.

Someone take him.

Please.

Wasted talent, amazing breakout season with us, then was more interested in the party life, he’s just a slow stiff do nothing midfield player, I’d rather have Deverdics.

I haven't got much time for Brad Walker. As Chief said, complete waster.

Was better at centre half than in midfield where he did fuck all for years and wasted the talent he once had. When he turns out for ya, you might, if you're lucky you'll see there's something there like a full solar eclipse once in a lifetime thing, but just drifts through games in a half arsed manner.

Might do well but he's had so many chances at pro level and just hasn't had the desire to take them.

Sounds promising then.

We've had 7 years of unrelenting shite and his type is the epitome of the problem. Of course he's nowhere near solely to blame but he typifies the lack of character, desire and fight that saw us decline to this level.

Otherwise, he's fucking brilliant.

Agree with your surmising on him, thought he'd be knocking it about for Dunston UTS by now, basically he's a talented but bone idle lad, they might get a bit of mileage out of him a centre half but anywhere else I wouldn't bother.

I'd forgotten it before you mentioned it just now.

I don't know what George Smith did to offend anyone. I think he started every game, then bosh, out. He was fairly decent I thought, certainly no worse than the other dross we've got here!

Braintree have signed defender Cameron James on loan from Colchester along with
Justin Amaluzor, ex-Barrow defender Dave Nieskens and midfielder, Mohammed Sagaf, formerly with Leatherhead and Walthamstow.

A couple of those look like pretty desperate signings for Braintree who already look like they have a lot of work to do to stay up. Amaluzor never impressed me during his time at Barnet and he got plenty of opportunities with us. Fairly powerful and tricky but zilch end product.

Nieskens looked solid at the back in his few games with us before injury ended his season. Big, quite slow, but seemed to read the game well. Hope he does well for them.

We’ve signed Levi Lumeka on loan from Palace. He’s played two senior matches for them, top goalscorer in the 23s last season and seems very highly rated.

Saw Amaluzor a few times, couple for Barnet, once for Hemel. Looked jokingly out of his depth at league level, looked about appropriate at National South level.

Know nothing about Levi Lumeka.

Jordan Archer joins Maidenhead on loan from Bury.

Chester fans - what's the deal with this guy? Is he a target man type? Only 4 goals in 21 games in the NL so would imagine so if he got a league move.

Yup I reckon Archer is definitely a target man.

pretty much agree with what Monkey Tennis said about Nieskens - not the quickest, but good in the air and reads the game well. The fans will like the fact that he will always give 100% which can't be said of most of our team last season

He is but he can definitely finish, tall but has pace and power as well.

His stats are a bit deceptive I’d say, got injured quite soon after arriving here and was out for a few months. Most of those appearances were coming back after that injury slowly getting back up to speed, difficult to do in a side completely down on its luck, practically already relegated with off-field issues as well.

Get some confidence in to him and he could be a right handful.

Thanks - we need a player of his type as Ryan Bird has massively flopped in that role. Looks like Devonshire is calling time on him already as we rarely do loan signings unless necessary.
