Appears Wrexham have replaced Warrington as our feeder club.

Joking aside, Cole is a decent player who is heavily influenced by confidence. Tranmere fans didn’t forgive him for ditching us to go to Hearts where we got no compensation and were on his back as soon as he came back.

If he gets a goal in his first couple games he can be devastating at that level.

Andrew Davies has had his contract ‘mutually terminated’ Bates mate didn’t want to stick around it seems.

that will be the million dollar question, as we are reknowned for not having any patience either ;)

with this and Oswell signing, it is suggesting a possible formation switch to 2 up front, which may be what we need, as while Beavon has been doing his best in the lone striker role, our goals from forwards have been lacking as a result.

Stockton and Tollitt besties? combination that may work!

It will be interesting to see how Stockton gets on at Wrecsam. He had a good spell during the second half of the season before last, as we made the NL play-off final, but was never going to fill a Cook sized hole in our attack on his return. Hope he does well.

The only thing I know about him is that he was randomly keeping Cook out of the side for a spell.

If nothing else, we have options up front. With the best will in the world beavon and grant won't win much in the air and fondops confidence is shot.

In the late 70s and early 80s, Huddersfield were our feeder club. The arrangement wasn't very productive for us, mainly due to Huddersfield's refreshingly honest insistence that the players weren't good enough to play for us until they were in their mid 30s. :ds:

Was supposed to be our marquee summer signing as well. Ridiculous what happens to players when they sign for us. Was he signed just coz he was mates with Bates? Did he have a sulk when he got sacked? Should we just be happy he’s gone because he only played about 10 games? Who knows but it takes something when a 34 year old halfway into a bonkers 3 year deal tears it up 6 months into it. The club is a basket case.

I think Stockton can be a success at Wrexham, provided he gets the right service he’s a good finisher. Good signing for Wrexham me thinks!

Replaced at Tranmere by Ishmael Miller. I reckon incredibly we've still done the better business today.

Must say when Pools were a league club we came up against Cole Stockton a lot in L1 and L2 and he was always shite. But at this level who knows, even Brad Walker turned into Emmanuel Petit down here.

Some think we don't create enough chances, yet we seem to miss a couple of sitters every match. We just need someone who can bang chances in, hope Stockton and Oswell can do this business.

Miller is of more use to us than Stockton. We need a physical presence up front, and we have already got goals in Norwood, Jennings and Mullin (assuming they all stay).

Stockton never scores in League Two and is not really physical enough to play as a target man. However, I do think he can score goals at Conference level.

Anyone who can score goals at this level is welcome at Wrexham. Before this week, we hadn't had one since Moult really. Unless you're counting Fondop's August.

How we've got to the league position we're in, with Mike Fondop-August being our top scorer on 5 goals is incredible.

This league is absolutely awful.

Fingers crossed it works out with the new strikers. Though I must think that Fondop will need to go out on loan as I don't think he'll get any chances with Barrow.

It turns out the Kosylo move was a Town fan having a laugh. If you can't trust a comment you read on a football forum by a member who made one solitary post and registered minutes before they wrote it, who the hell in this crazy, messed up world can you trust! :dk:

Is Mark Maguire wrecking you yet?

Tamworth aren't in the Southern Premier League. Get your facts right.

You are a charming individual aren't you?

I have no idea what the leagues down there are called. Southern League Premier Division Central.

A league lower than you are anyway.

Tamworth are in the Evostik Premier League (Step 3) after 2 relegations in about 5 years. He was clearly unhappy there and is better than Step 3. Five goals in his first 3 games, but has missed 4 through injury. He could be the difference to whether or not we'll be playing you again next season.

Unfortunately he is crocked. So probably not.

We've signed Sam Hird from Alfreton. I've no idea what he's like.
