Interesting signing. He looked decent against Fleetwood. Obviously highly rated as a youngster.

Our defence is sorted. All in all I'm pretty happy with our summer business. The only real Downer is the continued injuries to Manny Smith and Rob Lainton. Lainton is particular will be a big miss.

If Lainton is out long term then it is a hammer blow.

Got to say our business has been better than I thought and we've got a proper squad here with good cover in all positions. Only other thing I see happening now is Fondop out on loan.

Players like Redmond & JJ Hooper can't have come cheap. Are we Going For It™?

Maidenhead sign Bernard Mensah on a season long loan from Bristol Rovers.

Great signing and a massive coup for Maidenhead IF he is the same player he was 2 years ago.

Maidenhead might have just saved themselves with that signing.

Rhead is about 40 now and scored 3 goals in 43 games last season.

They could have spunked that sort of money on a much better striker who would score a shitload down there.

Huge signing for you - even in a terrible team, being played out of position for a number of games and being rushed back from injury, he was still one of our better players. Will give everything for you, can score some wonderful games and will bring energy to the dressing room. Just gutted he isnt coming back to us next season

Ricky Miller would of been a better option and surely cheaper as well.

I hope so, we desperately needed someone to play wide in our 433 so he hopefully fits the bill.

I still think we need at least 3 more. Will be interesting to see how many trialists are left tomorrow night - there were 5 on Tuesday night and we could do with them all really.

Speaking of Ricky Miller. Where’s he going to end up? Would be a good signing for any team at this level you’d have thought

I thought Miller would have wanted a full pre-season somewhere.
unless he's injured or got another court case? or has lost interest in the game maybe?

We've finally signed a left back, Ben Jackson on loan from Huddersfield. Was on loan at Darlo last season

Callum Howe signs for Solihull on a 3 year deal, a record fee received for Harrogate.

Saidou Khan has signed for us from Tooting & Mitcham.

He's apparently looked very good in training & played well against Dagenham the other day so its no surprise that hes been signed.

Are they still 18/1 shots? That is insane.

A sure fire each way bet.

You can get 20/1 on solihull and the same company have stockport at 20/1. Absolute madness. Danny rowe top scorer at 6/1 is also a cracking bet

He was one of the worst defenders at Holker Street last season - lanky but no strength whatsoever. I think he scored but had an absolute stinker.

We've signed Michael Chambers, centre half used to play for Welling and has been on trial with us and Leyton Orient over the summer. Good backup centre half but he could probably push Lawlor for a starting place too.

We've loaned young centre half Doug Tharme out to Telford due to this.

I've watched him regularly at Dulwich and commented on the National South thread, but I'll comment here as most Wrexham fans probably won't see the other thread.

He made his Dulwich debut as a 17 year old, coming through the youth team at the same time as Ethan Pinnock (now at Brentford) and Paul McCallum (now at Solihull) and landed a big move to Crystal Palace after just a handful of first team games. Unfortunately it didn't work out for him there as he was hampered by injury (sounded like the type of stress/strain type thing big lads get when they haven't fully grown) and after four seasons and a couple of loan spells with other clubs back in non-league Palace realeased him and he returned to Dulwich in Summer 2016

Left of the back three is his ideal position, it's where he's played for Dulwich for the last three seasons, helping us get promoted to National South for the first time. He played so well over the first half of last season I thought a National Division side might come in for him at the end of the season, but the team got stuck in a poor run, he was handed the armband when our captain (Magnus Okuonghae) got injured and his own form dipped.

I'm glad he's landed a proper big club, not someone who might be down the wrong end. He's got all the tools to make a go of it as long as he gets the starts. He's at least 6'4", good ball-player and passer, composure, discipline, positional sense, strong in the air and won't get bullied or outmuscled. If there's a weakness maybe he could have greater agility or acceleration, but he's not slow as such and is generally bright and alert enough not to get caught out. He's just turned 25 and I notice it's just a 1 year contract so it's really a make or break season for him in terms of getting back into full-time professional football.

Signing a defender from a Harrogate side whose defence conceded over 60 goals in last year’s campaign doesn’t sound like a title-challenging move to me.

Apparently he scored 9 goals from CB though, ideal for Solihoof Rugby Club’s tactics.
