Any creative player at this level and available at this time of year is likely an absolute show pony or luxury player, kind of can't be arsed with any more of them.

An energetic team with legs, solid defence and Hemmings upfront would be fine - unfortunately we don't have the first two. Sort that out before looking for the next Nicky Wroe.

I’m hoping we might see some tomorrow night with Crawford or Kellett coming in for Doyle.

Anyway, Rawlinson sounds a solid enough signing, and Graham - as I said elsewhere son of the boxer Herol ‘Bomber’ Graham definitely doesn’t seem to lack for physical presence!

Did Crawford get any game time at the wkd? Didn't play much for us but when he did he looked class on the ball. Very tidy footballer

Nah wasn’t in the squad - think he’s got potential from the little I’ve seen, would like to see him involved a bit more.

He should be in our team tomorrow but I don't think Ardley fancies him, neither do the fans seem to either. He's looked good in flashes pre season where I've seen him, sharp incisive passes and quite a rangy player who can cover the ground.

He was a decent stopper-type centre-half when winning the league with us in 14/15 and in League 2 with us in 15/16. Not the fastest player though.

Wait what happened here? Did he not actually go to Billericay? Very good signing for Notts though, he's too good for this level. Should be in L2. Played up top on his own when he desperately needed a targetman partner and was completely isolated in a team bereft of creativity and still managed to score 12 league goals. Mind you, I don't know about him and Dennis as a partnership. They didn't really click in the few matches they started together for us.

Well, that's the big question surrounding him. Had a bust up with Jolley at the back end of the season, had similar at Oxford too by all accounts. He'll start well, but he'll probably be sniffing around his next move come what late Feb/March. Assuming he's not on a 2 year deal?
