We can't really offer too much of an opinion on him because he's played more friendly games here than competitive ones I think.

Spent the season at Harrogate and did well for them but he's not at the level required for us in L1. Flitted between RB and CM over the two pre-seasons he's had with us. He'd have been released in the summer if he was out of contract.

Danny Kedwell has left his retirement home at Hollands & Blair to sign for Havant.
Apparently quite a few players going up the leagues to the NLS [and north?] during this lockdown

Interesting one from us, see he’s played for quite a few clubs at this level and has a decent record, what’s he like? Can only assume it means McCormack is a long way from match fitness, and Bettamer is going to be out for a few weeks (international duty then quarantine). There’s talk that Fondop isonly here for a few months, which wouldn’t surprise me as I’m expecting us to sign Ricky Miller on New Year’s Day.

Strong and quick but not consistent enough. Plays off the shoulder of the last defender. Seems to get frustrated after a poor run of form and then moves on again.

Out of interest how has Shadrach Ogie been performing? He is highly rated here.

Just signed our 250th player of the season so far.

Joey Jones, formally Woking and Eastleigh, has signed from Salford.

Who cares about a wage bill eh.....

Wage bill is a worry but our injuries have forced the owners hands, still a smaller squad then some due to the mass exodus over the summer and the current players on short term contracts.

Stockport County.
Dagenham had the 2nd biggest budget last season, I got shouted down on here at the time for breaking the news.

As if, did you see our squad last season most of them are now playing in the league below. Our owners are certainly stumping up some cash at the moment due to a ridiculous injury list but some are loans and short term deals. Our budget will be about top 7-8 for this season.

I mean the original statement was garbage - but you are 100% one of the highest payers this year, beaten only by Stockport perhaps.

Of course, everyone is about to be dwarfed by Wrexham so it all means little really.

We sign one player on silly wages but the rest are probably average earners. We lost out on some players to other clubs at this level House went to Eastleigh and Reid went to Stockport so can’t be splashing as much as everyone on here thinks. No chance we have the second biggest budget and if you actually go through our squad it’s hardly full of players like Stockport have signed. Like I said too 7-8 budget definitely but it’s not hard when there are so many part time/hybrid training sides. Stockport, Notts, Yeovil, Solihull, Hartlepool, Chesterfield, Bromley will all have as big if not bigger budgets.

Think you’ll be surprised at even Reynolds and Johnson. Reynolds was one of our highest earners.

Yeah, have to say. I'd be surprised if our budget is not top 5. Brundle is on a fair wedge as well.

To be fair I did forget about Notts. I think you atleast match Solihull for 3rd. As has been said, Reynolds will be on a nice chunk as will some of the others.

Not even 3rd have you seen some of our squad? There’s at least 10 that will be on average if not below the usual wage at this level.

We’ve still got seven players that played for us in the NLN. Every squad has a mix.

It's pretty easy to tell which clubs are spending the most at this level. If you are signing decent players from other National League clubs and giving players two year deals, then you are probably at the top end budget wise.

Boreham Wood must be up there. Ashmore, Rhead, Francis-Angol, Corey Whitely, Tshimanga etc. All big name players at this level.

Wordsworth will be great if he’s in any way fit or of the standard he was four or five years ago.

Not a new signing, but Callum Roberts has signed a new contract with us until 2023. He won’t be here that long, but should guarantee a massive payday at some point along the line. I’m biased, of course, but IMO the standout player in the division and one who will go on to play in the Championship at least.
