Signed Jayden Richardson on loan from Forest, wing back. Not quite as inexperienced as these usually are, already had loan spells with Exeter and Forest Green, made 30+ appearances for the latter last season as they made the L2 play-offs. Sounds decent enough, but presumably means someone is injured.

Ibby Akanbi joined Dagenham on a permanent deal. How’s he done for Daggers? Thought he might have come back and fought for his place, particularly with Corrie Andrews loan expiring soon, but can’t say I ever saw much from him in his brief time here

He’s ok. Seemed to lack a bit of self belief while with us but to be fair, he didn’t play week in, week out which probably contributed to that.

He’s certainly got something about him though, so should be a good signing for you.

We’ve loaned our LB/LWB Jack Sparkes to Torquay for a month, which seems to have upset a number of our fans online.

Personally I think it’s a logical move. He’s missed a couple of months through injury and currently is behind Jake Caprice and Colin Daniel, so it makes sense for him to get some games and hopefully come back in January fully match fit. He should be an excellent signing for the Turks.

Yeah we signed a right wing back on loan like a week before him, seemed an opportunistic move to get Richardson too. Was a great debut.

Yeah, he was making that run in behind their left back all game, had already got him in a couple of times but didn’t get the cross right. That was a lovely goal and great move, but Southend were pretty accommodating opponents tbf so we’ll wait and see how he does against you before getting too excited.

Their ‘keeper clearly got concussed early in the second half and they left him on anyway until it was 3-1 and game over, was pretty uncomfortable to watch. The fourth was when they’d put the left back in goal haha.

As much as I like DKE, Richardson does look an upgrade at first glance. Got a good few inches on Dion, too. Parsons (on loan from Wycombe) looked exciting too when he came on for Joel Taylor.
