He’s in as 3rd choice whilst Rowe remains sidelined and I don’t think he’s been signed for his goal scoring exploits anyway. As far as I can tell, he’s a big hold up target man striker that brings others into play rather than being the man expected to score the goals.

Seems a better player than Payne at that role so all makes sense to me

Hmm, I’ll reserve judgement on how terrible a signing Quigley is for a while, Rowe has shown he has an eye for a player (well, apart from Yussef) and even those he’s binned off (Mitchell, Taylor, Whelan) have gone on to have decent seasons (well, not Mitchell) so we’ll see. Better than Payne, anyway.
