Our leach of an owner getting every penny he can out of the club before he leaves. Of course his reason for having to sell Joe is the fans fault for not turning up. I know a sure fire way on how to get another couple of thousand fans onto the attendance. Prick.
Anyway Quigley is fine, this is his level though.

If this is his level you can have him at the end of season. :)

Quigley signed for 2 and half years? Chesterfield must have more money than sense

Only time will tell, JR's done pretty good so far with the signings. We can all be internet football managers. But he's come in at Chesterfield and hardly put a foot wrong.

Scott Priestnall has squarely put the blame for 'having' to sell Joe Quigley on our fans for not wanting to turn up and pay for a completely shit matchday experience that he promised to improve. What a c***.

He’s in as 3rd choice whilst Rowe remains sidelined and I don’t think he’s been signed for his goal scoring exploits anyway. As far as I can tell, he’s a big hold up target man striker that brings others into play rather than being the man expected to score the goals.

Seems a better player than Payne at that role so all makes sense to me
Can Payne now officially go into the ‘Grimsby told you so’ room? It’s getting full in there

I thought he was OK when he started games. Linked the play well etc. I may have been wrong. He seems to have a negative impact as a sub.
Never had any time for him. Never looked like threatening the goal and fouled all the time. Needs firing off to Frickley.

I actually think at this level Payne would be fine for a lower mid table club if they just wanted a work horse up front next to someone else who can score. He’s not good enough for a team looking to get promoted though.

Payne was decent foil for Tshimanga in the early stages of the season I agree, but now Asante is back with Quigley coming in and the ever nearing return of Denton, there’s absolutely no place for him in this squad.

In other news, not announced yet but this description from Alfreton basically confirms Nathan Tyson is joining them. Still got the pace despite being 39!! Hope he does well there

Another one I thought would have happened earlier in the week.

Payne departure been held up too. Expect 3 or 4 to depart from us, with Tyson being the first

Heard that Scunthorpe interest in Payne cooled? Is that right?

I’d be expecting McCourt and Payne to be off for sure, but wouldn’t be surprised to see short term loans for Rowley, Denton and possibly even Maguire either to get them back to fitness. The first two can go permanently for me, I really don’t rate McCourt, was a poor signing bringing him back last year after how shite he was the first time round

Any Barnet fans able to tell us what Matty Preston is like? We've signed him on loan from Solihull

Terrell Egbri to Farnborough, Eren Kinali to Hendon both until end of season.

Myles Mitchell-Nelson to East Thurrock for a month.

He conceded a lot of goals, but he was in a genuinely appalling side and I felt he was dragged down by those around him. Mansfield fans told us when he signed that he had ability but looked poor when the rest of the team looked poor. He is fairly quick for a CB and should look good in a good NL North team. He is, unfortunately, highly injury prone and I think he's been out injured since the start of the season at Solihull.

We've just signed full back Teddy Howe whos just been let go by Blackpool, believe he had a loan spell at Scunthorpe last season. Probably crap but looks a good signing on paper

We have signed Ethan Coleman from Kings Lynn, anyone able to tell me if he is any good?

Very rare for us to sign a player I know nothing about!

No idea but they have produced a couple of decent young players in the last year or so, Sonny Carey, Kai.. oh

Lincoln have signed Ben House from Eastleigh. Can’t say he’s ever struck me as someone the bigger teams at this level would be looking at, let alone two leagues higher. Strange old day in the ‘rama.
