They’ll potentially, and quite likely, confirm promotion against us next Sunday, a sickening thought...

Hopefully Derby can hold them to a draw so they can’t do it against us.

Yeah, they have been brilliant for most of the season. Good luck next season. I'll be interested to see how they get on, and if they continue their progression.

Yes, well done to the Wolves. I can imagine there must be no better feeling in football than not only pissing this division but watching your arch rivals go the other way. Enjoy.

They said on local radio yesterday that Wolves can be promoted on Wednesday if they beat Derby? Is it as straightforward as that or will it depend on other scores?

I’ll be honest, I can’t be arsed to work it out for myself.

If Fulham lose to Reading, then yes.

If Fulham win, we can't go up against Derby, anything less than a Fulham win, and we win then we're up.

Close quarters? You mean your armchair and channel 5?

just saying it like it is - you are a million miles off the level required to compete up here - obviously that could change with a transfer window to go - as it stands though you're bang in trouble with the sqaud you have

Yes you're right, I'm shitting myself at the thought of playing teams like Crystal Palace, Burnley and the Stoke City's of this world. Don't know how we'll cope.

Tell you what I'll have a charity bet with you that we'll finish above Swansea next season?

Stoke won't be in the league, and palace might not be yet. As for Burnley, I think you'd be doing really well if you could replicate their season, and they are a decent team. You have some very good players, and you will no doubt improve the team with some new signings. In the same breath, it wouldn't surprise me if you struggled. Time will tell though.

They have done well this season, but do I fear them? No way. The Premier League may aswell be split in two. The same top 6/7 every season, and the other 13/14 teams scrapping it out at the bottom. We'll be one of those 13/14 teams.

well you couldn't cope with us when we were shite - i dread to think how you'd do against a good team like burnley - it would be a massacre.

if you finish above us it'll mean we're going down - give me until the end of the transfer window for acceptance of said bet

Yeah, nothing to fear apart from maybe the top 6, or 7, and even then they are beatable. With a few good signings, then you'd maybe get midtable, which would be a fantastic achievement for now.

We rotated half of our team to play you, You beat our reserves though impressive result. We have also beat Leicester, Southampton, Liverpool, Stoke and drawn away to Man City in the last 2 seasons, so I think we haven't done too badly.

Swansea are an absolute nothing club although I hope they stay up for Carlos.
They may not even be in same League as Wolves next season never mind finishing above them.
As for Abertawe himself, well he's a decent wum, at least I hope he is anyway, cos if not he's just full of shit.

A nothing club who have been in the premier for the last 6, or 7 years, and have more than held their own. They also won the league cup the other season, and have played in Europe in recent times. At one point they had a very good team, and played some great stuff. Ok,nowhere as big, or historic as villa, Wednesday, or wolves, but they have been much better in recent years.

Hence the word club and not team.
They deserve to be in the PL as it's results on the pitch that matter, and they're punching well above their weight.
I would swap league places and team with them tomorrow, but as a club I have no ill feeling, like or dislike towards them, couldn't be arsed if they go down or stay up, or win or lose each week so to me a nothing club. Only my opinion of course, they probably feel the same about us.

Compare them to Leeds, a shit team, (still better than us) but most fans of other teams have feelings towards them (normally dislike or hatred) and no matter where they are they can't be ignored. I don't like em, but they could never be described as a nothing club.

I know what you mean. Two of my oldest mates are Leeds fans, and they have a good presence around where I live, so I found it quite easy to dislike Leeds, and their fans revel in it. I don't mind wolves at all, although some of their lot are unbearable at the moment.

you're just bitter because wednesday missed the PL boat and have spent close to 20 years rattling around playing the likes of burton. besides unless you're one of the oldest posters on here you've never seen a wednesday team to act billy big bollocks about anyway - not since the days of John Fantham have you been anything other than a nothing club - even that was a fleeting moment of success - it's the early 1900's and the goal scoring supremacy of Andrew Wilson that made you -

what a knob
The early 90s, they were one of the top clubs on and off the pitch.

Lol, I'll humour you.
Not bitter at all, we're shit, I know it but can live with it.
I also am pretty sure one day I will see us return to the PL.

I'm old enough to have seen my club, win a League Cup (yes I assume you have your club) play in another League Cup Final, play in a FA Cup Final finish 3rd in the top tier, watch them both home and away in Europe and watch them in the top tier for 15 seasons.
I think I have seen my club achieve more success than your club have had in their entire history.

BTW great knowledge on SWFC the 60s and Andrew Wilson, I couldn't tell you anything about Swan what's it City other than they are now in the PL and had a decent spell in the 80s with a passed it Liverpool legend (only remember that due to the great own goal he scored at Hillsborough as we romped to a 6-1 victory in the snow)

Guess some clubs are just more memorable than others.
Enjoy your football especially the PL while it lasts.

Our CEO has said the demand for the Sheff Wed last home game of season would hit 50,000 if we had the capacity. Well and truly out of the woodwork.

Would like to say NFWF, but I remember we had similar amount wanting tickets for our League 1 Promotion finale in 2012 and also we could have taken that many to Wembley for the playoff final.

In a way it's good, it shows the potential support that is there, but in another way it's fucking annoying, they are glory hunters who only appear for the big games.
Funny thing is although you only needed 20 loyalty points for Wembley (that's 2 games in 2 seasons!) all these "fans" who couldn't get tickets had been supporters for years and barely missed a game.
Hmmm I smell something.

BTW I will congratulate you, when it's official, shouldn't have long to wait now.

It will sell out this week won't it? That without general sale too.
