If mass gatherings are banned then how will the season be decided (obviously this isn’t a worry for tiny teams like Fleetwood), behind closed doors? Or just cancelled completely?

How can we cope without gate revenue when the majority of us are already on a shoestring budget?

As long as they don't make the season null and void...

I think it should be decided on preseason betting odds.

We're announcing today that our games are going to be played behind doors with free streaming passes for the rest of the season for all ST holders.

Expect ALL L1 clubs to follow suit. You have probably watched your last game of the season in person already, folks.

Makes sense , I'm thinking behind closed doors until easter at least for all games with free passes to iFollow for season ticket holders.

Any source?

Our manager has today said the weekend will play as normal but expects there will be behind closed doors games in the following weeks but would hope the season is delayed.

Our place was a good old fashioned cavalry charge on the grassy knoll!

Be good to have it back next season if we haven’t all been wiped out by then. I might have to return for them 2.

According to the older lot Oxford taking the Clown End was a regular occurrence :cool1:

I can remember the Swindon lot running away, after giving it the big one, when our lot kicked down the exit gate to get at them when the Stratton Bank was terracing.

...and we risk the football season being cancelled because of the drain on emergency services.

Let's get on with each other for a few months. Then there will be a league between us anyway :)

They always run anyway unless turning up in a Double Decker then they couldn't run. :cool1::gr:

Sorry to break up the Swindon v Oxford posh derby bollocks, but it's a genuinely good question... we'd obviously prefer the season null and void but that won't happen. So how will they calculate it if the season can't be completed - current league standings or form tables over the last ten games etc?

It is either finished or cancelled.
Cannot be any other way.

We have a game in hand on Wimbledon and still have to play them, so if they finish the season now, a relegation play off would be fair. That is to say it would absolutely not be fair, there's so many factors that aren't possible to take into account, but assuming that the last relegation spot is between us two, that's how I'd do it. The sides above Wimbledon, who were also potentially in the running, get away with it for simplicity.

Probably vital for us this but also think we need a bit more. Hope they aren’t expecting us to be able to pay anything back

Works out at about £704,000 per club if evenly distributed - which I doubt it will be.

Spit in the ocean for the likes of Leeds, complete game changer for us bottom feeders.

Wonder who’ll get what.
