They will get relegated at this rate !

And Stevenage stay up .

Maybe it’s the EFL crapping themselves that they’ll have another bury situation.

If they conveniently fuck macc over then they’ll be the conferences problem.

Confirmed if L1 season ends Monday, which it's now anticipated to do so given the vote requires 13/24 Championship clubs and 24/47 L1 + L2 clubs to ratify.

Oxford vs Portsmouth
Fleetwood vs Wycombe playoffs

No room at the inn for Motormouth or Sunderland.

Yes I saw that. Can only see it appealing to clubs like Wycombe and Doncaster though, maybe Gillingham at a push given fatman was going on about a late (albeit unlikely) charge at promotion. And then obviously Tranmere you'd assume. But there'll be many that can't justify the £350-500K expenses.

The Club will follow the majority as far as I’m aware so it’s League 1 for us whenever the next season starts as long as we have a club to support that is.

I would have said that we were 19 points off the bottom 3, rather than 8 off the POs. Too many draws to have mounted any unlikely charge anyhow. Glad we are not involved in this bunfight.

You know what I despise the most about him? The fact he absolutely gets a kick from Twitter and the brown nosers constantly in the replies. "Oh I wish we had an owner as good as you.", "Good to see you standing for what you believe in mate!".

Aye, wait till he wants to play on and leave your clubs out of pocket. He can afford to piss away thousands, not sure half of League One could write off furlough money and pay for Corona tests. Incidentally, the Championship's testing will cost £5 million to complete the season, how are we going to do that in Leagues 1 and 2? People like MacAnthony need to get real and look at the bigger picture.

If they were 15th now, he wouldn't give a shit and he'd be telling them all to end the season. Man is as two-faced as they come.
Durham (for obvious reason) was right up his arse on talksport this afternoon.
I loved the line from DMcA "I can't understand football businesses that don't want to play football". Clearly a man with a grasp of the financial implications on said businesses. Maybe hoping half of them go bust to help them get promoted next time around! Twat.

That dislike only developed now? They are a horrible club under his management. He is the Michael O'Leary of football.

Have seen Rotherham’s owner supports promotion with no relegation as does Accrington’s owner Andy Holt.

Be interesting to see what outcome Monday produces

I just can't see a season without relegation going ahead because the PL clubs want the league to have 20 clubs and that's it.

Then all this voting is a load of bollocks because whatever is decided by the teams in Leagues 1 and 2, we’re all just waiting on what the Premier League want. The Premier League which only cares about its reputation and that of the 20 clubs. It doesn’t give a rats arse about clubs 21-92.

We’re the clubs that have to live monthly trying to keep clubs afloat, knowing what it’s like down in the lower leagues, and we’re the clubs that should decide what happens in our leagues.

I know the response to this is “but the Premier League give Leagues 1 and 2 some money each season” but that doesn’t allow for them to mess with the future survival of clubs imo. Doesn’t sit right with me at all.

**Not a dig at you in any way by the way. Just getting fed up with the whole saga revolving around protecting the big sides and revolving around what they want.

I've always said when they were introduced in the late 2000s in some kind of random act of generosity that I didn't want FL clubs to be the recipients of PL solidarity money because I warned that they'll start influencing decisions at our level in a few years. Lo and behold, EPPP became a thing 4 or 5 years later, when clubs were entirely dependent on the solidarity money. And what happened? The PL got their way after they threatened to withhold the money.

There needs to be a shared consensus once we get through this crisis. Solidarity money is about to be heavily depleted, so EFL clubs may as well tell them to scrap it all and then we can hopefully have grounds to vote to remove EPPP from the game, which is nothing but a sham but it'd let us dictate our price for our players instead of derisory £100,000-£300,000 fees for players who could well be worth a couple of million.

Sadly, the greed of some EFL clubs, particularly those in the Championship, would never dream to scrap it.

It was reported that the vote in L2 was unanimous- 24-0. I also read that those 24 votes are also part of the L1 vote. So 24 out of 47 clubs will already vote to curtail the season. The question is - will L1 also want a veto on relegation.

All this promotion stuff is irrelevant if no fucker actually gets relegatef

Andy Holt said he wants relegation scrapped and clubs still promoted so there are more games and potentially extra matchday income for a few years. But it's ridiculous because all you're doing is letting the Championship and Premier League quickly demand for no relegation this season.

What he fails to realise is that'd cause League Two clubs to lose teams and lose income. I'm actually livid our owners would suggest an ill-thought proposal which could have devastating consequences.

If I'm a Championship owner, I'd tell the lower leagues immediately to relegate sides or we're not relegating any ourselves.

It is more about the attitudes of certain clubs and posters on here, that has changed my view.

On the flip side, there are some clubs/posters who have gone up in my estimation (eg Crewe)

Said it before but you can't have promotion but no relegation, it's both or none at all and the latter isn't going to happen because null and void is off the table.

If L2 are still saying four promoted, L1 isn't going to run with 27 teams next season. That'd leave L2 with 21 or 22 because four aren't coming up from the NL.

L2 will not influence L1 each division is deciding for itself. Zero relegation makes no sense as it will just make the numbers in each division unworkable next season, followed by a large relegation the year after. Weighted PPG is the only sensible solution, call the season finished and let clubs start to build squads for next season.

Are there any Posh fans on here? I'd be interested in what the general view is on Macanthony from there fans. In my eyes he's come across terribly during all of this and so out of touch. I don't know if he truly believes the guff that comes out of his own mouth to preserve his ego or he just enjoys trolling and promoting himself?

They are going to do a behind closed doors snooker tournament for TV in the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK from the 1st to the 11th of June with everyone tested prior to starting and then being basically isolated in the stadium hotel for the duration of the tournament. It seems so there is only the need to do the test once.

I know a lot more people are involved with football teams but surely they could do the same sort of thing with teams at neutral venues keeping them isolated even if it's only for the playoffs?

Obviously finances permitting.
