THEY’RE NOT ’YOUR’ RISKS, THEY’RE RISKS TO VULNERABLE PEOPLE, THE HEALTH SERVICE AND OTHER PUBLIC UTILITIES. FOR INSTANCE YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY WITH WHICH TO WRITE THIS SHIT IF TOO MANY ELECTRICAL SUPPLY PEOPLE ARE OFF SICK.

Many apologies for the shouting, but these points do need emphasising. Lots of times apparently.
The vulnerable will always be vulnerable. It's they who die of flu and pneumonia each year.I
Electricity managed to keep flowing in S.Africa as it has everywhere else.
This catastrophising needs to stop, analyse your own rhetoric then put some odds on these things happening based on real world observations over two years.

I'm no lockdown fetishist but surely the response to this would be 'well we've had forms of restrictions for the majority of the last two years, if there are no restrictions moving forwards then things could get worse'.

NO ELECTRICITY

So what’s your actual solution then? When cases rise next winter do we shut pubs, restaurants and indoor events again? What about the winter of 2023?

Please advise.

I mean he managed to accidentally post a dick pic on Twitter and got the team with the biggest budget in the division relegated, soooo probably the latter.
That rings a vague bell. Was it down at the bottom of a screenshot in his camera roll? Someone really needs to write a book about Notts since the turn of the millennium. There aren't many clubs that go toe to toe with us in the shitshow stakes but you lot are definitely in the running for sure.
I'm a multifaceted and complex human being. You? :ds:
I'm disappointed in you to be honest, I thought you'd have more solidarity with your county bretheren.

I think they know it’s not as serous in terms of casing deaths or hospitalisations but want to get the numbers down generally hence the push to get everyone boosted.

I’ll be honest, the threat of lockdown and the shambolic behaviour of Boris and crew has actually caused me to delay having the booster for now.

I’ve had Covid and both jabs, felt dreadful after the second jab and it seems if I get a booster they’ll like lock me down regardless.

Exactly. I'm also sick of the restrictions but just stopping when the virus is clearly pretty virulent just because people are fed up seems a dangerous move. And even though Omicron seems less deadly its not just about fatalities, as I understand it.

Its not just Wales amd Scotland where restrictions are being put back in place- its currently happening all over the World.

I'm just sick of the selfish pricks who won't get themselves vaccinated to be honest. Omicron wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue if hospital beds weren't filled with anti-vaxxers who thought they knew better than the majority of health experts.

We should cast them aside from society and lock them in their houses while the rest of us live.

it should be entirely about fatalities, the rest doesn't matter. If you change the way society runs, restrict people from doing stuff, fine people for going to work!! ,wreck whole industries by diktat and turn the unvaccinated into lepers for anything other than a high risk of quite excessive deaths then we've reached a very dark place.

I'm tired of dumb pricks who think this all goes away if everyone gets vaccinated. Holland has really high rates of vaccination and is on full lockdown, we have high rates, over 90% of over 70s have had their third jab I believe yet here we are. You're being played, don't fall out with the unvaccinated ask questions of your government and NHS. Ask what sanctions we're going to take against China, who've recklessly unleashed this through negligence. Ask what it's going to take to have your rights and freedoms restored and what level of risk is acceptable. Make the useless fuckers quantify their measures rather than showing graphs of doom with no real utility. By Wittys own dishonest figures we should be at 550,000 cases today. Drakeford and Sturgeon made everyone show passes to get into venues then shut you down anyway. Total dishonesty along with the irreversible roadmap.
This turning on each other over vaccines is an awful development, it's your right under the Nuremberg convention not to have an experimental jab, they know it and are doing it by stealth instead and is largely a red herring.
Oh, and I've been vaccinated so I'm no antivaxxer.

Holland have a lower rate of vaccination than us . 66.9% to our 69.1%

ultimately the reason or at least the reason given for restrictions/lockdowns is to protect the NHS and a much larger percentage of unvaccinated people are in hospital than vaccinated so I can very much understand Chief’s point.

Yeah it’s totally their choice to avoid vaccines but if NHS is struggling to cope then the unvaccinated should be put at the back of queue for treatment and pay for their own privately if there is no room at the inn.

That doesn't mean that getting your booster shouldn't be done though. It's obviously not going to just go away, but there's absolutely no denying that getting the booster is going to stave off the tide for another 4-8 months or so at least. I don't trust this government as far as I can throw them either, but I don't think there's anything nefarious going on with a booster roll out other than you could possible point to the fact that there was no talk of having to get bi-yearly boosters until the majority of the population had had their second vaccinations.

I completely agree that vaccinations shouldn't be mandatory but while we're in the midst of a pandemic I think people will have to accept that there are going to be times when COVID passes are the norm.

You think it didn't come from China? I expect it was an accident but not a particularly contentious view.

Of course it originated in China we know that and have from day one because thats where the first outbreak was. The Lab leak hypothesis hasn't got any credible evidence behind it so far and is mostly being pushed by swivel eyed loons in the US.

If it wasn't deliberate why would you impose sanctions?

I've some sympathy with putting them to the back of the queue, resources are finite but it should be free for all, the fat, the foolish, the smokers, the drinkers and the unlucky.

Because they knew, imposed internal travel restrictions whilst allowing flights abroad from Wuhan.

This. You end up one step away from ‘doing 40 in a 30 and crashed, did we?’.

Fundamentally, just stop voting in governments who believe 2% spare healthcare capacity is an inefficiency.
