I love Canterbury. Trouble is my B & B has been sold to a Muslim and there's no Full English anymore.
Railway Blue's post does come across as somewhat accidentally racist - and whilst i'm sure it wasn't intended that way something like "Trouble is my favourite B+B has new owners and doesn't do a full English breakfast anymore" would have sounded better - but we all make mistakes and hindsight is a wonderful thing.

7 years ago today I was at Wembley watching us being promoted to The Championship. Today we're 4th in the National League and have no idea what the chuff is going to happen next. How times change.
12 months ago Notts were the oldest team in the PL/EFL - now they're not even the top 3 oldest team in Non League....

In Saudi you can get exactly the same fry up except the bacon and sausages are beef (or turkey/chicken whatever you like).

If Railway Blue is that bothered why not just go to a cafe and have the 'real' thing instead. It's terrible that them god awful fundamentalist types had the audacity to buy up a B&B.

So 6 people (not even necessarily players) out of 748 apparently in the PL. So 0.8% of people tested have it in some form.

If you owned a business where 742/748 people were fine there's no way you would say, 'SHUT IT ALL DOWN IT'S NOT SAFE!'. You would get back to work straight away based on those results. Especially considering you have the money to test people as many times as you want, as regularly as you want. You'd send those 6 home and crack on with the 99.2% of people who were absolutely fine.

Beef sausages are pretty nice. The chicken ones I had in Egypt were vile.

1 player and 2 staff at Watford and the Burnley assistant manager are 4 of the 6 - so so far that's 1 out of 4 was actually a player...

Yeah chicken sausages are the devil's work. Turkey bacon isn't bad, beef sausages are good. Arabs and meat is generally a safe bet. They're good at that.

I can’t say I’ve given much thought to it. Can’t say I really agree with how they do halal, but that’s not got any religious prejudice involved.

I wondered whether the racist card would be played. My point was there is no point in a B & B that doesn't do Full English. Hard boiled eggs with bread and butter doesn't cut it. I went to that B & B every year Thursday to Sunday for our games with Dover and it was painful every year (never even saw us score in 4 trips). The hosts wife died. He carried on, on his own but sold up in the end. The last time I went after driving 300 mile and arriving at 4.00 pm was told to come back at 6.00. I can't see us playing Dover again for some time.

That's a bit racist pal. I'd be a bit careful if I were you.

I also have a Muslim-run B & B in Reading for games against Aldershot and they do a cracking B & B. I choose a B & B judged on value for money and going to a café for breakfast doesn't represent very good value for money.

Yeah it's not like they are ill with a highly infectious virus that has sprung from nowhere to a global pandemic inside 5 months, particularly in gammon lands, with no knowledge of how it can be treated, the long term impact of contracting it and longer term immune responses....and we have Bozo Boris at the helm managing it all, can't see what all the fuss is about.

Aye, shut the whole world down until there is nobody left on the planet with it.

£1.25m Salary cap coming into play for League 2, good luck with that Salford hahaha

I like the idea of squads of 20 players, 8 of which have to be from the clubs academy which they are floating too.

Our owner has been vocal last few days, he's pushing for a salary cap in our league. Ha ha what a guy. He says our budget when we lost to Salford in the play off final and orient went up automatic, was 750k. Leyton orient's were 1.25m. He said he was told off other chairman you're not getting promoted paying anything less than a million. He reckons no player should be on more than £750 a week. You can tell Rowe has gone.

Thoughts?

looks like he's looking to cut his investment levels - from that and his previous comments. He is right though about salary caps in the NL. IF the L2 cap is going to be £1.25million and 20 players then the NL one should probably be about £750,000.
What would he do if there was promotion from the NL and Fylde went down?

He has already commented on that in one of his recent video. Basically he said he would rather go down and it be decided now then have to keep waiting for the decision, because of contracts and everything else. Also says there is no need for any fans to worry. He is as committed as ever and will be here long term

We don’t have a academy so not sure how that will work if we ever went up again. An academy is paid for if you’re in football league by funding but that stops once you come down, we had to shut the whole thing.

there would need to be a 1 or 2 year allowance for promoted teams to get Academies back up and running - and you (we) would probably end up bringing players into the academy who were released by higher up academies - I think we have 2/3 in our squad/u-23 team.

do any of your players have release clauses in their contract for if you go down that either they or the club can trigger?

Yeah it's a fair point how would that function for teams promoted from here I wonder, we closed our centre of excellence two years after relegation but still run a youth setup between the ages of 16-18 which feed into the first team.

I don't know. You wouldn't have thought so would you? What with us reaching play off final and being favourites to win the league.

I wouldn't have expected it given your 2018/19 season, but just wondered - i'd imagine IF you did go down then someone like Jordan Williams would be looked at by other NL clubs if he had such a clause though.

William's, haughton, walker and croasdale are the only ones worth keeping. Rest can go for me
