Ebbsfleet relegated by 0.002 of a point :lol:

It's not all over for them yet, 4/6 teams in each of the step 2 divisions need to agree to playoffs and Macclesfield might be demoted into step 2.

Not all over for Fylde yet either, though would need both NL South and Macclesfield situations to go their way.

Congratulations Barrow, enjoy the FL! Evatt has done a fantastic job.

Hopefully we’ll be joining you, although the play-offs really will be a lottery this year.

As congratulations are in order I'd like to offer mine to Fylde and Matty Kosylo for their outstanding achievement in getting relegated despite having one of the biggest budgets in the league. Magnificent. :£:£:£

Oh and also to Barrow, see you next season. :ds:

Well done to Barrow, well and truly handed our arses to us at Meadow Lane, and have generally been the best team.

Every fucker knows we’d have caught you if the season had carried on though. Hehe.

Wrexham and Chesterfield breathing a sigh of relief or were they going to be ok if the season had played out? Was getting very close from Maidenhead up to Torquay.

Can't quite believe this finally got voted through! Hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves in L2, because no doubt it'll be mentioned by every opposition fan that we didn't deserve it, but at this moment in time, who gives a fuck. Ecstatic.

Just shrug and remind them how Arsenal got into the top division, 100 years ago, a division they've never left since. :ds:

We'd have been fine whatever they decided. We weren't in the zone when play stopped and we already had 2 games in hand anyway.

We looked doomed, and could likely have dropped behind Fylde after a few games.

Ebbsfleet very unlucky but they might still be saved yet and they will be favourites to win the NL South next year anyway. It's not a hard league to get out of for teams with resources, North is much tougher.

Congrats mate, for what it's worth you have been the best team all season I reckon (out of a pretty poor bunch admittedly). Can't imagine what it must feel like to get promotion to be honest.

Congrats to Barrow, easily the best team we played against and well deserved. It’s a shame you’ve been denied the chance to do it on the pitch and in front of fans.

Which is kind of how I feel about the play-offs. I guess I hope we win them, but not going to pretend that I’m massively excited about them.

We're not going anywhere. I'd be amazed if these playoffs go ahead

So a month before the playoffs even start.....this is ridiculous & I can't imagine many North & South teams will want to start training & testing a month before the games are even played. I wouldn't be surprised if most of them just wait till like a week before the game.

Basically York & Havant will be way more prepared for these games because they can afford to bring their players back alot earlier.

The NL North ones almost certainly will, and I think NL South probably will but maybe with not all 6 teams. Slough are a big maybe.

Well we'll see. I don't think the playoffs will happen but if they do so be it

The opening day of the season was so gutting, and it felt like it might set the tone for the rest of it. That feels like years ago!

According to Doswell at the weekend, Slough, Dartford & Dorking had all agreed to take part in the playoffs.

Fair enough. Slough have the lowest budget of any team in the playoffs at step 2 so if they can afford it, everyone should.

You should have been 3-0 at HT in that one as I recall. We played really well in the second half though.

Yep there’s a (tiny) bit of me that hopes we miss out and do it properly next season.

Jumping the gun, if we can get up in the playoffs, no reason why we can’t be up there in League 2 as well.

The problem is gonna be what type of teams they can even put together. Pretty much all players will be out of contract & you could end up with a load of players refusing to play due to not wanting to risk injury.

Then you got a situation where some players have already signed for other clubs. Some clubs have even let aload of players go already...I'm sure I read that Brackley currently only have like 9-10 players.

So its gonna be very interesting what actually happens.

So after 32 years we're back.

Hopefully we can get crowds back ASAP, I've always wanted to see us play in a National division so will be endeavouring to make all the trips up North (Tuesday night inclusive). To the Notts County lot on here, if you don't win the playoffs, I don't know what you're going to make of Grosvenor Vale* (Maidenhead's York Road will look like the Ritz in comparison).

A massive doff of the cap to Dean Brennan, Stuart Maynard, Gary King, Kirk Rayment, Matt Saunders and the rest of the coaching staff - to come in last summer, completely overhaul the squad and get us playing the best football I've ever seen is a massive testament to their level of coaching, recruitment and tactical expertise.

I'm sure for supporters the aim next season will be just to survive however I'd hope the coaching staff are more ambitious.

*There is valid justification for this that I'm sure I'll have to explain multiple times over the next 10 months.

Although King's Lynn isn't much better and Weymouth and Gateshead could still come up to completely mess things up!

You have done very, very well and if we don't go up, I look forward to us having a proper rivalry with you guys unlike the tinpot one we have with Wood at the moment!

Also, I like Grosvenor Vale, at least it has charm unlike many grounds at this level!

They're always a lottery but this year will be very unpredictable.

Can players signed over the past few weeks and in the next few weeks play in the playoffs?

You've got yourself a guaranteed year's break from Chipmunx, enjoy yourself.
