Under PPG we would be in the play offs, but i would rather it go to Stockport as they deserve it more for winning more points on the pitch from games actually played. Had our Chairman not sacked a groundsman, then we wouldn't of had a drainage outlet bricked up, and not had all those games called off. Perhaps then on merit, we might have finished higher. Who knows.

So what you're saying is, that the teams with the most points on the board should be rewarded? Gotcha.

If it turns out to be 2 up, I don’t see what the big song and dance is about having playoffs. They’re the only reason I’m carrying on paying for BT sport currently, so I’m going to be pissed off if they don’t happen.

A single month I got for free off those greedy bastards.

You mean you didn't sign up for Lithuanian basketball like I did?

BT Sport has been free for current customers for the last couple of months if you had went on their website - it’s only half price in June as well.

Can’t believe they had that, but not Armenian midget wrestling.

Went on their website(CIA covert ops would have been easier to find) and paused it and all that, but they started charging again after a month. Was it something you had to do every month? I get it through Sky, dunno if that makes a difference.

If the EFL decide on Tuesday not to relegate the Chavs, then my suggestion would be to have play-off with the top 8 clubs. The reason for this is that Barrow, although top have not won the League and could easily be cought within a couple of games. At the other end, Barnet would jump above Stockport into 7th but it would still allow for Stockport to take part in the play off's. The games could be played at St Georges Park because they will have the facilities and infrastructure, and it is quite central to most clubs. With coaches not allowed to convey people, everyone will be in their own cars so parking will be easier there. Play 1v8 2v7 on Saturday and 3v6 4v5 on Sunday, with the 2 semis on Wednesday and final on either the following Saturday or Sunday. All done and dusted in a week and the majority of clubs (probably not Barrow)catered for and satisfied with the conclusion.

Great idea. I'm not just saying that because I live 3 miles from St. George's Park (i've snuck past security there once and i'd do it again).

100%. Even in a completed season the current play off structure isn't the best anyway with 6 teams in them. I've always found it odd that within a two up two down system, 7th place having potentially finished 25 points behind the top two still has a viable chance of promotion. Extending them even further would be ludicrous.
Palios' proposal for the EFL, which is voted on a division by division basis, would see the Championship have play-offs from 1st placed Leeds (71 points) down to 12th placed Derby (51 points)!

Notts County couldn’t get out of their half for 60 minutes, it was all us and they were hanging on for dear life.
“Scott [Quigley] then got sent off and the game completely changed, which it does in key moment like that, but for 60 minutes they didn’t deserve to be on the same pitch as us

Doesn't sound like Stevenage will get their wish of no relegation.

from the BBC article about Hurst
Hurst said: "You are not the law, you are civilians in uniform, Queen's country rules, you live in Scottish slums, I am superior."

Keith Tuck, defending, told the court
He added: "He is a man who in the past has had a successful career as a professional footballer "

Would make our worst ever Conference XI I think. At least the bench.

What is it about Evatt, not only does he think that his team should be declared the winner with a quarter of the season left, he also seems to think it matters that his team were better with a third of a fucking match left.

I feel sorry for Mrs Evatt, her husband never wants to finish a job off.

He’s only been cutting 75% of the lawn during lockdown. Packs up after that as he says he’s done enough to rightfully earn his tea.

He did trim the conifers though, that was always his trump card.

Make Barrow enter the play-offs just to find out what Evatt does IMO.

Has the conference decided what it’s doing yet then?

Looks like the EFL are confirming things for good today for leagues 1 and 2 for this season so I’d assume they’d have something in place for when this is confirmed.

they are waiting for the EFL to decide how many teams are going down to the NL and hence how many are going up to the EFL.
I suspect that the EFL have probably already given Barrow the nod that they will be in the EFL to replace Bury whatever happens though.

Mansfield were on the understanding it was 2, the bottom team in league 2 (depending on what happens with macc) and obviously the space for bury.

I can’t see that changing

neither can i really - unless the NL does something stupid like Null and Void the season.

There’s the very interesting extra bit about relegation only if the club has somewhere to definitely play next season. Hard to see how the NL can guarantee that, or have enough clubs who would want to start a season behind closed doors.

But then that would massively complicate giving Barrow the promotion place as well, if the clubs in the play-offs aren’t just going to be denied a chance of promotion but then stuck in a league that’s dormant. I feel like it’s going to be extremely messy unless League Two and the NL are basically completely aligned in the choices they take.
